Happy Labor Day weekend everyone! Hope you all have been able to relax and enjoy some time with friends and family! For those of you who can't decide between a 330i and the M3 sedan, the M440i is the perfect compromise between both and while there was a time where we'd recommend the new electric i4 M50, with the new tax credits in effect, the M440i Gran Coupe now seems to make more sense as long as you're okay with giving up some straight line acceleration and using the older BMW iDrive 7 in the interior. We expect this car to get the new infotainment system for 2023 or 2024.
This model actually does offer ventilated seats as an individual option.
Great review as always. I pick up my 2023M 440 I grand coupe today. I pulled the trigger because I do not want the latest I Drive eight. I like physical buttons. Great car
Are you in the US? BMW has ventilated seats as an option on their website for this model and it drives me absolutely INSANE because they DONT offer them on the M340i! Wtf 🤬
Just ordered my 2024 in San Remo Green. The "gun metal" front grille, mirrors, exhaust finishers and badging color is called Cerium, and I like the understated contrast between it and the green. The full shadowline black with this color IMO didn't look as good. I drove MGBs when I was growing up, and it is very close to British Racing Green, and they look almost the same when it is cloudy.

Fake leather, manual seats w/o memory, no ventilated seats, no pano, less rear cabin space than the 3 Series, an obsolete gauge cluster and only basic option groups for $64,000?

BMW giving back 1000 bucks for the lack of electrice seat function that's BS! If they had raised the price extra and simply tell you they would take 1000 bucks off that's not right!

Every carmaker should take lessons from BMW on how to take a beautiful car and make it THE MOST HIDEOUS in its class. The 4 and M series were the prettiest cars in their class. And for some baffling reason BMW decided to make them ugly with that HIDEOUS NEW GRILL. Way to go BMW, your arrogance and stupidity has finally hit its peak.
When you shoot cargo areas, zoom into block out the brighter surroundings, brightness aperture will show the darker trunk.
When John Davis retires be sure to send in an audition video. Just dress a little less casually.

In reference to your protecting the M3 badge, you are correct. But, if you have the money, you can buy an Alpina B4 Gran Coupe GT in Germany and have it legally imported to the US (Alpina can arrange it). The B4 has the S58 out of the M3 and M4 and offers similar performance to the M3 or M4 base models yet they also have a Comfort + mode that rides like a cloud and a Sport + that handles better than the standard M440i Gran Coupe.
