Dealerships have been using this scam where you order your car, then 3 months later it arrives but they tell you the price is higher now, sometimes they'll say $10,000 or $20,000 higher. They refuse to honour the deal you made when you order it. The CEO of Ford is mad as hell about this high-profit scam and he's forcing dealers to agree to sell at only MSRP, if they won't sign they won't get any EVs.
Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama are The Most backwards and backwoods places any American could ever live.
That's like third party "clean energy" companies where initially your electric bill is cheaper until down the road they hike it up and you end-up paying more then if you had stayed with your utility company. A BIG SCAM !😡

It's the good old boy system. Car dealerships are owned by some of the wealthiest shitkickers in town. Bigger cities have their own version of this that's slightly different. In smaller cities and towns, the wealthy and established families and the local government are all wrapped up in each other. The landowners, real estate people, car lot owners, etc are connected to every local power position like mayor, city council, judges, DA, sheriff and police chief. I live in a small city in Alabama. The last mayor we had was the local Mazda dealership owner. The current mayor is the son of the family that owns the majority of local construction and real estate and his dad was mayor in the 90s. We had some random guy in between but he only lasted 4 years, everyone else does 8. The sheriff, DA, police chief, it's all a weird good old boy corruption circle jerk and not one of em is hurting for cash. Too much money to be made to go doing things that make sense. And Louisiana might be the worst state in the country when it comes to that kind of stuff.
Why shouldn't a manufacturer of a product and a buyer be able to make a deal with each other of their own free will?
