i bought a 2014 BRZ with only 40,000km on it last month. cost me 25k in WA
looking to put some work into it, never done anything to cars before though
So really glad you guys have a few videos fixing yours up
14:15 Wow …. ok …. well ….. im glad i got my Tommie Mak back 6 or so years ago when it was 20K lol …. wtf ok Tomorrow its going in the shed….
😂 you can get a used 350Z and it blow the doors off the rest of those
Should've swapped the hilux for a tf holden rodeo / isuzu! They're heaps cheaper and just as good ✌️
Other Europeans, do you see many Subaru's on the streets still? In Finland and Sweden, I haven't really seen many Subaru's in the past decade. There was a boom of WRX all the way till like the 2004 model and then they pretty much vanished, same with Mitsubishi Evo.
When it comes to Hilux though, it's still as popular as ever, but agricultural. UTE tuning is absolutely not a thing in Europe (the only exception is off road/big tyre setup), I was surprised how much of an item they were in NZ when I lived there.
just buy a xr6 turbo it your done beat everything
I'm considering moving to Aus to work in the mining industry and this video has been very helpful as I'm not familiar with your auto market over there, it seems to be quite different from the market here in the UK. Would definitely be interested in a second video for cars at a slightly higher price range too.
Cant say i agree with most of the list. Seeing as its all referenced to aus pricing and bang for buck there are much better options for cheap proformance cars. That hilux is so far from a "performance" car, its ridiculous. The only BRZ for under $15k if busted/stolen/wovr. I think the falcon xr6t and nissan 350z would have been a better fit. But im guessing they just picked cars they had stock footage. I love most of these guys content but i think they missed the mark on this one
who the heck is paying that much for a jimny?
Y’all should check out the Hyundai genesis
I've never seen a Toyota hilux in USA
i agree with all cars but the GTI, I had soooo many issues with VW especially the transmissions and the water pump just blowing and dumping coolant everywhere. Lost 2 engines to throw bearings. They were both only 2 years old…. worst car I ever owned.
why is rx8 not here
Brz 💀💀💀
I want to start learning how to do tunes and mods on cars. This video helped me find a starting car for a project. I'm going to continue watching this channel to help improve my mechanic skills and learn what different parts go wear/ what each part do. Thanks!
If we're talking about reliability and daily driving, BRZ/86 would of been top of the list.
2015 MK7 GTI performance full logbook service history. Very well looked after by original owner who bought it brand new then i bought it off him. The car is in excellent conditiomn throug out. I am a mature owner in my 50s. The car has not been modified i am selling it for $22000 the car is located on the goldcoast
!
I reckon the Jazz will be the new Civic
Brz? I'll just buy a corvette.
Not sure they forget about the 350z. If 86/BRZ are up there, 350z is definitely something to consider. FRD, reliable engine, V6 and also chuck a turbo on it easy.
Price range, 18-20k+
I picked up a fwd lancer for my mom rust free 128k on the dash but its an auto for $600 bucks
Hey guys, love this video and thought your choices were interesting and very informative. I don't know if you've done a similar video on say, 'The best cheap track cars', but if you haven't I would be very interested in seeing that. Keep up the good work boys.
Thanks a great clip on some iconic cars.A Cheap Golf R alternative is the Tiguan. Stage 2 tune with downpipe and Golf R brakes at the front, nice wheels and a resonator delete, you have a cheap and a quick car. Add ST coilovers, and then it's better still.
What about a 1999 Subaru Legacy B4 RSK?
Man I miss my evo, bought it for 25k… market has gone stupid, after owning one I wouldn't pay more than 35k, the value just is NOT there.
Always loved the gt86/brz. Only problem is they go for 25.000-30.000 euro second hand with over 100.000km
You can't get a 3rd gen hatch wrx under 10k
I just got a BMW e90 325i for 6k, a rare factory manual, rear-wheel drive, 200+ hp stock, maybe not very much aftermarket support for power mods, but can be modded for more power if you try. Or you can get BMW 335is from around $10-20k, stock turbo with 300+hp. I'd argue what's missing in this list are the slightly older generations of BMWs & Audis, for example: e36, e46…. Prices aren't insane like the JDM cars, you can find them well below $10k, rear wheel drive, manual, and already comes with quite a bit of power, comfy to daily drive, and has some modern luxury features as they are luxury brands afterall.
Can't get a hilux in america for under 30 grand
The E90 335i is a really underrated car, at least in my area. I’ve seen them for as little as 5k and 9-10k for a really nice one. You’re bolt-ons and a tune away from making serious power, and actually really good aftermarket support
I want to throw in a caviat for the wrx. I bought an 11. However, I'm the third owner. I'd only buy ine if you're either the second owner or if it was below 100k
Voliks Golf
