'all new' like it was invented yesterday. whats new, that color?
it looks cracking
The 3.0 TDI is what you need
no EV or PHEV is not a big deal for most buyers, maybe they'll include one down the line.
Interior looks like a nice upgrade but I have to disagree with you Thomas in regards to the exterior the front end looks like a Mitsubishi Triton mixed with an outlander from several years ago. VW seem to be doing some pretty strange designs with their new releases is it all cost cutting?
Looks stupid…. The previous model actually looks better
I don't like the front of the car, is like a Chinese cheap car….
bought the v6 when it first came out. Had one or two problems with various sensors and in my experience the after sales service was extremely poor. For that reason only I won't be purchasing another. Just about to order Toyota Hilux Invincible X

disappointed about ford engines and it seems like no double clutch transmission.
NICE AWES0ME KEEP_IT_UP! ✨🎉✨🎉✨🎉🎉🎎🎭🎎🎭🎎🎭🎗🎗🎗🎗🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑🎑✨🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎆🎀🎀🎀
I like it but, I want to know more about the engine, it's origin and if they are the same or an improved version of the original units as those engines were fantastic!
I like the styling but I want some of the original traits!
Inspired by American Pick-up 😆🤦. It's Build and Design by a American brand dude what have you been smoking. The Vehicle is Designed and Engineered by Ford Australia 😆. Lucky because otherwise it would have been discontinued.
Ciao Thomas!
Is Mexico getting this truck, do you know??
👋🏻
Looks uglier than the previous Amarok
AmaRanger
This will fail just like the X-class Merc did. If we wanted a damn Ford, we would've bought one. Ford chassis, Ford engines, Ford gearboxes. No thanks. I'll keep my current Amarok. Shame on you VW
Why can't we have this in North America? A european pickup. A vw pickup. This is very strange to me. Hopefully at a people's car value.
Too many annoying ads so I didn't bother, bye.
Please review the ”MG – Marvel R Performance”.
It would be amazing if this truck came to North America.
This car looks AWSOME! thank you Thomas you're best!👍👌
I've been reading somewhere, I don't remember where, that this model has nothing to do with VW because is just a Ford Ranger with small cosmetic modifications. Exactly like Mercedes did with Nissan. I don't know if it is true.
Vry glad they hve the option 4 “higher horsepower” engines. Strange they rn’t releasing in the states! We have such a large Pick-Up market here, quite intense.
don't forget the Latin American market. Amarok is also built in Argentina for the regional market, and I think from there it is also exported to South Africa. Good choice to include a powerful petrol TSI option. Hope that is available in all markets.
I like it, glad the infotainment is basically still in the dash.
Is it the same person designing for every company now that looks like a Ford Ranger crossed paths with a Colorado that’s all designers do now steal parts and designs from other cars can’t someone come up with anything new a little bit disappointing really
lazy VAG cannot translate interior to RHD..
This was jointly developed by Ford and VW and is mostly a Ford underpinning. It is being build here in South Africa in the Ford factory in Roslyn Pretoria.
With VW not offering their very good 3.0l Tdi or their very good 2.0l Tdi bi-turbo in this Amarok, many people do not see it as a VW and will most likely rather buy the Ford.
I'm of the opinion that the new Amarok looks better than the Ford and might just be it's saving! People that has seen this vehicle say it is very well designed and looks amazing. I think we'll have to wait and see. My personal view is that these new pick-ups/Bakkies or "Zuts" as the Ausies say, are way to expensive and only the rich can afford them. They will sell in very low volumes….
Doesn't look like a VW, rather like a Mitsubishi
#HondaRidgeline nothing else!
Were should I bought one? In a VW or Ford stand, as the chassis, engines and transmission are from Ford…
Between VW Amarok Panamericana 4Motion 2.3 Gasoline and 3.0 Diesel, which one is quicker and more durable for family use? Not commercial
Interesting interior. I quite like it. Hope VW has sorted its software problems out.
Nice🇸🇦
I wonder why vw doesn't sell the amarok here in the usa when we have a big pickup truck market here even hyundai is selling there new truck here so it would make sense for vw to sell a truck in north America
You are right it look American style100/100
As a current amarok owner I think VW have made a big mistake. I would not be interested in this as it looks like the Ranger. Previous amarok stands on it's own as a premium vehicle compared to others on market. Would not pay premium price when just looks like something else.
Great
