Nice can of "cock shine" at 2:58 😂
I had an '85 GTI. I can understand why this one was parked for 20 years.
8:04 literally thought Star Wars fighters flew over the garage.
I haven't watched this channel for a while….so the short stocky guy has left but his mate with the speech impediment is still there. And there is a new bloke with a beard.
I'm in this same boat
It's interesting that car is RHD, but wipers stand like on LHD Golf II.
Bro that car park ticket is 3 days older than me 🤣🤣
Where is that little roid guy with the big smile ?
VW Corrado next please
"Grab the handles, give it a yank back, and give it a pump or 2"…sounds like my wife in the midst of relations😂😂
really ? starting a stuck engine with starter ? what is this ? Hobo hour ?
I was about 10 months old when that ticket was put in the glove box.
1:44 that’s because the MOT history can only be dated back to 2005, the car hasn’t even moved since 2002 😂
I’ve got a vax spot wash and they are amazing. I recommend them to anyone who hasn’t got one yet
ive owned several mk2s and they are my favorite car! my last mk2 was a pirelli edition jetta coupe, 1987, and she saved me from a massive car crash in 2019, where a ford edge suv (big and heavy), hit me broadside directly in my driver door at 40mph. my long term goal is to find another mk2 coupe jetta, and swap an e-golf drivetrain into it, make it modern and fancy but with the excellent 80s styling. they're quirky and cool, and with some modern power, something way cooler than any modern EV
ive built so many of these things in the last 25 years that i can look at a wire harness bit from mk2 and mk3, and i could probably tell you what it went to. a couple of the under-dash ones still escape me without some testing, but anything under the hood, or from the front seats back, i can probably do 99% accuracy. in my town of 750k people, i am one of 2 people who everyone comes to for repair on mk1/2/3 golfs and jettas, and b3/4 passats, all sciroccos (in the US, not the pretty new ones), and coraddos.
I have a 3rd generation prelude you could buy and make a video on saving that 😂
I want more analog film cameras
So I was lucky for getting a Volvo s70 from 1997 that runs and drives, but stinky under the hood
Aww man, I'm like a month late. When I did my motor swap earlier this year, the donor motor from my old car had only sat for 2 years, but with a gaping hole in the oil pan, so it was seized up as well. We did the same thing with ATF, and that got her loose. However, when it finally turned over, my compression peaked at 70 psi (with an astounding 30 psi on cylinder 2). I thought I was fucked, that my timing got screwed or something, but my mentor who'd be wrenching since the 60s told me to pour MORE ATF in there, plus gasoline. He swore up and down that it was piston rings stuck in the cylinders, and gas+ATF would help them break loose. We let it sit over 2 nights, cranked it to clear as much as possible through the top (the wall in front of my bay at work will forever host my cars wonderful splatter art), and redid the compression test. 170-180 on all 4. Reinstalled coils and plugs, and she fired up on the 2nd try.
Now, granted, that motor had 10x the resting time, but I'd be willing to bet it could've given you better numbers, and may have even ran without getting completely torn down. But then it WAS pissing oil, so a teardown/replacement mightve been inevitable. Still, would've been cool to see. Next time you have shit compression numbers, try gas+atf! Like a lot of it lol.
VR6 swap?
"I dont know why the company trusts me with money" 😂😂😂

Dont cover the rust and have it properly repaired. This is honestly my dream car and every year their becoming more valuable and further out of my reach 😢. Im no mechanic so although i do know some stuff on repairs my health stops me been able to do work on one if i bought one to restore. If i ever win the lottery ill be buying a restored original one for sure.
what makes this car female? get a grip
Interesting start
I swear they quit car throttle and started a different channel

Is this guy tensing his chest and shoulders all the time or is it just the way he is.
PLEASE DO A VIDEO OF A 2003 HONDA VTEC CRV
Scrap it and get a proper hatchback classic
Where is the short fella?
2:18 “no it won’t be” 😂
I also wanted one a mk2 GTI as my first car but couldn't afford the insurance so ended up getting a classic mini which was perfect for learning to work on cars and also for experiencing car culture and meets and clubs 🙂 good feels with this video
I know a part car
Nice video
Are the wipers correct?
Looks like wipers from a LHD
I have a few of these engines petrol and diesel if you need one in good 😉
Mine had lower psi and was running normally. We stilll pored some ATF down in it and let it stand for a day after that id was factory spec.
Just coming back to this video, what a brilliant series this was.
