Eric, I like these videos where you take us on a field trip to Wilbert's U-Pull it…
It’s great that you have a resource like that for used parts. I wish we did. I recently had to charge parts/labor for a wiring harness for a similar issue. Working at a dealership, you can imagine what that cost.
Do you charge for your time to find and pull the part?
Curious? It’s probably overkill but why no relearn? I get that it’s the same sensor but it did lose connection with the sensor.
Hey, if it works, it works. Of course you charge. I don't work for free either.
A Ford tech that I worked with before he retired NEVER soldered a wire repair. He used the Ford wire repair kits which is basically a tiny butt connector and heat shrink over it. I asked him why and he told me if Ford wanted the wires soldered they wouldn’t sell repair kits.
Very nice job, very nice. It's amazing how people People think that auto mechanics are thieves. But they don't seem to care how much the politicians and the doctor steal from you, You should have a sign above your door like the doctors practicing medicine, Practicing mechanics, But you do have to be paid for what you do and they have to understand, Understanding is a little hard to understand sometimes for them good job eric good job!
I just wished I lived closer to you instead of clear across the country in Idaho. I'd be in your shop for everything, including bringing in coffee for you and Mrs. O all the time. You sir are a man of integrity and honesty. I love your videos. thanks
I was hoping that the trip to the salvage yard was not free, I'm glad to see it wasn't. I take a different path to splicing wires but that is done because I am doing it for myself and I am not on the clock. Considering your area of the country your repair will outlast the car unless another mouse gets in there.
I don’t soldered wire for the fact they don’t do that at factory.. but yes I would heat shrink because it dose help make it weatherproof. On the blow torch I don’t see any wrong with because i have a habit of using lighter sometimes in small spaces
I like when we have a field trip 😁 👍
Dedicated owner to go to the junkyard. You won't find that anywhere
You should solder and add heat shrink to those wires cause it will take longer and you can charge the customer more 😂
I love this channel.
The mice take the copper wire to the local scraper along with your catalytic converter!
Your billing is more than fair you have nothing to justify. You saw problems and you get your customers back on the road and that’s worth a fair price. Anybody who criticizes you for that is just an idiot I don’t care. As an aside, I like the mini roll of tape that’s pretty clever although I am impressed you still have your 10 mm. Or do you?
Thank you for the ride in your car to the junk yard.
they need some wild cats
Cat piss works good and cat hair,
Eric you should be welding them on !!!😂😂😂😂😂😂 Maybe tig ?? 😂😂
The mice don't use wires to make nests, they trade the wires with birds for food & the birds make nests with the wires.
Charge $300 for that
I am a motorcycle mecanic and Never solder a broken wire ore a splice, solder always brakes down its to ridged and brakes
Love your channel,, and attitude! And by the way, opinions are like a&& holes.. everybody's got one and most of them stink, ! Keep up the good work!
Coding on wiring harnesses are soy base now not the old material. That’s why rodents love the new wiring harnesses.
Maybe the mice save the copper to recycle and get mice food with the proceeds
Honda used soy based wire insulation in the early 2010’s and rodents love it. This is why Honda came out with spicy electrical tape. A chipmunk did a number on my dad’s Honda pilot.
Hon-doo
Don't blame the mouse, he has to eat to.
When I have a wire loom that mice just love, I will wrap steel wool around the area after the repair.
You should have soldered and heat shrunk those connectors.
Why?….. because you told me to say that and I've watched you enough to know that you know what you're talking about – so I don't question you! 😂
Good job Eri. Enjoy your video very much I enjoy. How are you find the problem and fix it¡!!!!😊 Thank you
Tape on a socket was a neat helpful way to finish the job
Instead of a money light. It was a money mouse. Dang, they are destructive DB’s.
Question what Power Pro is a good tool to have? I am a DIY and I watch your videos all the time. I have learned a lot from watching your videos. Thank you, and let me know.
