I am dreading the price hike at the dealerships.
I'd say it's very fair, and actually, im in shock. I'm sure they could get more, considering the Tundra trd Pro went from 55k to 72k in one year. Two different markets though, no doubt.
Sir just sent u something hot off the press
The only solution is to refuse to buy autos with dealer markups.
Aloha Rob ❤🎉😊! It would not surprise me if the new Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter goes for $55,600 for the base Trailhunter with more additional items added.
I agree with you on many things in this video… The dealerships are going to get few in at a time like they are with the 23's and they will mark the 24's up like madness. I was also thinking the price difference between the 23's and 24's was going to be close to $3000-$5000. I doubt dealerships will have full lots like the pre COVID days… Probably for 5-6 years from now. If we pay those crazy mark-ups because we want that truck that's on the lot before someone else takes it then they will continue the game!
It might be worth your time to come to Florida, I purchase my Toyotas from a dealer here that doesn’t do markups. Earl Stewart Toyota.
In about a year I hope to buy something like a Tacoma or Ranger. This will be a vehicle that I plan to keep maybe 15 years or more. I will be very picky about trim, options, and color, and will only consider buying exactly what I decide that I want – given the list prices of course. If Toyota or their dealers make the purchasing process too difficult then there are other brands of vehicles available (even though the Tacoma is the only manual shift one I could consider, and I prefer manual).
I called around dealers and was assured there was a 99% chance there would be no add on or markups if I put down a non refundable deposit 😂
