First seen on the 1970 Chicago Auto Present, the Ford Mustang Milano Idea served as a styling bridge between the then present Mustang, and the approaching freshened and upsized 1971 mannequin. Seen right here in Extremely Violet paint, the cabin, for which photographs are scares, was reportedly additionally outfitted in purple hues.
Cool options included color-changing taillights, and a then-novel power-operated rear hatch. The Milano Idea is credited with influencing the design of the 1973 Australian-market Falcon XB coupe, which was featured within the 1979 theatrical launch, “Mad Max.”

Sadly for Ford, the Milano Idea did a greater of hiding its dimension than the 1971 Manufacturing ‘Stang.
