People just making things complicated. Never go to those machine wash. Go to the one that offer hands wash only. If washing a car is difficult for you, then you got serious issue…

Yeah, if you do not use car wash mode, the charge port flips open. After a year of ownership, I have only ever sprayed the car with water and wiped it with a microfiber sponge, Zero soap or other chemicals. Car still looks shiny and new…
