Nice work as usual – Prius, what a lame P.O.S. compared to cars I grew up with.
What media do you use in your sandblaster for cleaning the pad brackets?
it shouldhave been crushed on the showroom floor!!!!, lolđ€Łđ€Ł
Apparently you are familiar with the 60's classic movie "A Clockwork Orange": "A little of the old in out, in out…" I'm not sure if they were referring to brake jobs however…
Eric! Thank you for mentioning Rainman Ray down here in Florida I am a fan has channel and of yours. Both of you do great work.
Eric, your explanation to everyone as usual, is outstanding, thank u
You had a very educated customer on this toyota, did everything you recommended instead of a person to skimp now and pay the piper down the road
You didnt put the oring on the second pin on the second set it was still on your cart
Please wear a mask when grinding.
Love seeing you wear hearing and eye protection
You know what's worse than doing a perfect flare and seeing the nut on the bench? Seeing the nut on the line pointing the wrong way.
I once bent a 12 ft piece of 3/16 entirely custom by hand. It took me a good hour but Iâll be damned⊠I did a really damn good job on that.. it went from under hood to rear wheel and I didnât bend it too much or crush it or anything!
I donât want to do it again though Iâll tell you that (because it was outside on the side of a road in the mud!) đ
Great conclusion to the 'delicate' hub/sensor and brake job.. finicky at times. Always enjoy your vids. Kudos…
Great video ty
This is probably a stupid question but, when you're burnishing the brake pads, how do you know that the regenerative braking is not doing all of the braking?
34:12 get the air trapped in there… it'll cause some Queefage…
The rain man? I noticed he uses your brake cleaner introduction. Great video their Eric
Eric, since both sides failed does the Prius have an issue with them?
I have been watching your 'buddy' Ivan lately and subbed, he is EXCELLENT at DX
"Robert's your motherâs brother!" It took me a second.
Watched every video from latest back to here and finally heard a Rainman Ray reference. Give him many thanks as he has been sending people over to watch and subscribe.
Thanks for putting the Fluid Film sound back!
I can't believe what you guys have to go through up north! I feel so blessed to live in Texas because I do all my own car work and have never faced rust.
Scotty is going to be upset you had to repair a Toyota with only 70k on it.
Enjoyable and educational, as always. Thanks for all the tips and tricks along the way. Great work done without any chip on your shoulder that prevents you from being humble at your job. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us!
Good video!
1996 Chevy corsica rear hoses fun Not
The only thing I decided to do differently on mine is to replace the rear splash shields($25 a piece I think) and use new oem wheel bearing bolts($5 per one if i remember correctly) . Those shields can't be replaced without taking bearing out and while at it I decided to replace them since mine had slightly more rust in comparison to the one on a video. Also I opted to replace the brake line and flexible rubber line with oem, they were not expensive. However breat job and I wish more people were as careful to customers cars as you
I watched with interest a segment you did on rebuilding a TPS for a Chevrolet. You said that the kit you used came from a dealer. Called two Chevrolet dealers, and they told me, they don't have anything like that!

Thanks for the great videos! When I have replaced the breaks on my Prius I got info from the dealer that you should put the car in neutral when braking during the burnishing process. This insures the pads are doing all of the work and the regenerative brakes are not. I did not find this on Toyotas service documentation. I heard it from a master tech. The rear brakes will always be in use but the fronts, not so much.
So where should I buy brake pads? 3 out of 4 brake jobs I've done I had to file the pads to get them sliding in the bracket. And I think I cleaned the rust out good enough.
The good old no mercy reversie 0:55 neutral drop fans are proud!
All I'm going to say is I'm sure the o'l Prius was grateful for you being gentle.. As always great job and thank you for the vids..
The internet needs to somehow store a quote board of your one-liners. Wouldn't solve world hunger, but everything else. This was a chuckle fest for me, but man that was thorough. There's not a person out there who can doubt your work brother. Keep up the excellent content!
why would any one care what kinda spray you use. If it works for you, go for it!
I am always thankful, they do not use much salt on our roads out here [pacific north west].
I'd be embarrassed to be seen driving a Prius. You couldn't give me one.
I do love NiCopp brake line. I totally recommend it.
we all treat our lungs so bad….
DOO DEE DOO DEE DOO… isn't that copyrighted?đ
Everytime the phone rings, I think it's my landline.
Love watching these videos. If you close your eyes, that one tool, sure sounded like a dentist drill. lol
There might be nothing more annoying than fiddling with air trapped in caliper pin bores which cause the caliper pin boots not to seal properly. They will test your bounds with sanity.
One lucky đ customer! I bet those brakes will last longer than the ones fresh from the factory!
When you hit the brakes you're competing with regen for breakage. If you pop it into neutral first you'll be stopping with the hydraulic system only.
Making a flare without the nut has to be a rite of passage in the north. I won't say how many times it's happened to me in Minnesota but it's more then once for sure.
There was more suggestive instructions in this video than in certain movies. Loved every minute of it and learned about Prius brakes. Where else can you get any better learning.
