Black grill Phil
Hi Phil great video once again I would go for the black grill looks much better with the white
Hi Phil, in my opinion the black grill will suit it more.
Inlet manifold broke at back
100 percent inlet they break round the back after impact very difficult to see a new one will cure it
Personally I would have said the silver grill but reading the comments the black one will win,its surprising the amount if damage a small hit can make, yes definitely a dodgy forklift driver there with that damage so hope you sort it out ok👍
Great video top work as always 👍I would go with the black grill myself but it's up to you 👍thanks for sharing
Black grill, definitely
I would stay original as possible any upgrades would be a bit chavy for me. Sounds like you've got problems with another ecu great to find out the problems though especially if other people having the same problem.
Black grille will look better BUT it's a basic model Fiesta so I'd stick to an original silver grille – the black grille is harder to find (I'm assuming it's a honeycomb grille) so best to keep that one in stock.
Black
Bit unusual that Phil. Sounds a bit rough.. but you will sort it im sure
The pcv valve broken is part of the vacuum system if it’s not readable the the ecu tries to compensate for the lack of vac and extra air by richening or leaning the mix
Copart forgot to rob the screenwash
I do like the black grille, however I’m also a purist so, if it was my choice, I would keep it factory original, also it’s not a sporty model, a sporty grille may look out of place, great video as always Phil, I enjoyed watching it😊.
The black grill will look better, but I would keep hold of that for use in a higher spec, sportier model. You are repairing lots of fiesta’s so keep hold of it. Surely the broken crank case breather and damaged air box are not going to help the engine running problems 🤔🤔 Really enjoying the run of postings and the content 👍👍👍
If it’s staying standard go for the silver grille,or if you go for the black why not put a set of alloys on too, make it more appealing to young drivers, also if you could get hold of a set of genuine side skirts it would hide the sill damage, stick in with good work Phil 👌
Prefer if you put the original style grille on, save the black one for a future project.👍
Put the grill its meant to have, keep it standed, not giving it a silly ST look
Great work Phil, and that hunting for idle is bizarre !
You’re going to have to get all your fingers and toes out for counting up the “black / silver” grille debate – I’d stick to the original silver, if only from the perspective of the ‘cam from Factory like that’ aspect, and you did mention is was the “Style” model in the beginning of the vid, so wouldn’t be difficult for a fellow purist to spot the difference
Keep ‘em comin’

Standard bumper for me Phil. 👍
Another cracking video . Can I ask do you ever have problems selling salvage on once you have repaired them .?.
Keep it original Phil. I had a 1980 950 Fiesta Pop once, it had running issues, in the end a new oil filler cap for £2.50 sorted it! I think same as others, that the hole in the air box and that snapped breather pipe could be contributing factors.🤔
Original grille. Why not compression test it?
I'd go for the boggo bumper. If you do anything different it starts into an explanation of why, etc. Which isn't worth it with a basic car. Pain in the proverbials re. The plugs, etc.
When you have the "idle spark" arrangement with one coil feeding two plugs, the circuit for each pair of cylinders includes both plugs and associated leads so anything that breaks that circuit (beyond what a spark can cross) will stop both cylinders from firing. Plugs and leads are a good call.
Black grille
Hi Phil, where is the air flow meter/sensor on those, could it be simply in some sort of limp home mode, if limp home has kind of been ignored by the previous owner that could possibly explain the pair of bad spark plugs? Black grill for sure, the fog lamps might just be a switch and a relay and would make it more saleable to the target audience of younger fist time driver?? Cheers Rich
Idle control valve is built into the throttle body on those. If its taken a whack it will run lumpy.
