Two things…1) am I the only one that thinks the chances of Tesla putting extra 4680's in customer Model Y's and then limiting the range via software is near zero? 2) Is BMW serious?! Lol what are they doing…
Lucid will be bankrupt in 5 years or less.
Trade in estimater has been available in Canada since 2021
Wonder how Redwood will extract recyclable 4680 materials from such a monolithic structure as the structural pack. Ouch!
Why bury/hide the mid video interrupting non-adsense ad in "Shout Out to Lex Fridman (AG1)" rather than respect the viewership which makes non-adsense revenue even possible? Regardless, mid-video kills the flow, whereas at beginning/end/both seems fine~
I continue to subscribe to AG1 as a monthly recipient. Thanks to you, i initially researched it and compared to other products in the same category, i chose AG1. My focus is on general biological health. Thanks so much.
Nikki @ Transport Evolved has a very credible theory that the “Thunder” name will be be applied to PHEV versions. We shall see. It would explain Lightning for Europe as we wont want PHEVs over here any more …
Elon I’m sure knows that hooking his cars to the grid is a very bad idea right now. Or ever.
Butting extra batteries in a pack is a waste. Not will not pay for the range. They did this with the original S 40Kw pack, it was actually a 60Kw pack that you could unlock. Good news is that if a cell dies out of warranty on the 4680 cars you’ll need $25K to buy a new pack. It is not serviceable. Just ask Sandy.
That high temp setting can save lives, preventing tragic accidents
Thank You For The #Tesla Content

I love your channel and watch every episode. An unrelated question
. I have FSD beta and love it. Unfortunately I quickly got four strikes and now I’m very fearful that I will lose it. Are you aware of any way to get FSD beta back if you get five strikes?
They software locked 230 miles. 😂. Some people are just so funny
Kinda makes you wonder if redwood was given ideas to recycle pack or maybe Elon took another jab to JB saying have fun with the packs. Lol
Lucid won’t even survive in 3 years when we have electric g wagon. Range rovers. Bentleys…. Sorry but they have no game plan to ramp while they play with an expensive toy
well the subscription model of heated seats is just silly but in BMWs defense 415$ for heated seats is not so bad I guess. could be more expensive.
But the high beam assistance cmon. The one time fee for playing motor sounds is fucking stupid. but you know why they do it. it costs them money to have this developed by someone so they want to charge money for it.
bad product
My guess is that they are limiting the cells and then there will be little or no degradation over the first 10 years.
You're asking why they would put 500 mile battery in 279 mile model Y? I'll tell you why: Willy Wonka Golden Ticket why. Once unlocked all the people who got the 500 mile Tesla will get an invitation to Giga Shanghai to be judged and for someone to be chosen as Musk successor.
When it comes to investing, diversification is the key, that's why I engage in sectors based on projected growth. There's no shortcut to getting rich but there are smart ways to go about it
If the v2g is a bad idea, having the competition to force Tesla's hand would be actually a bad thing.
In general v2g is problematic because you use up the high grade battery to do stuff that a battery of lesser grade would suffice. Car batteries are weight and dimension constrained and the materials used in them are specially selected for them. If you use the car battery like you use a powerwall, you degrade the battery faster.
It makes much more sense to use a dedicated chemistry and form factor, something that is designed around home battery specific needs.
Using Model S Plaid battery to power your home would be a bit like using your v8 lambo as a generator. Of course it wouldn't be that bad, but it's a similar issue. And I see Porsche advertising the cars in this way (as grid stabilisers).
Of course v2g would be handy in emergencies and I'd rather have this ability than not. That being said it probably won't be free and Tesla is already selling a product that fills that niche.
As I am writing this, the cabin overheat protection AND sentry are both on, working just fine at the same time. In fact I’ve never had a problem with those in sync.
Agree on the range. They would just put in fewer cells, so they could profufd more cars
You can go by gas
Do ppl still buy ringtones for phones ?
THANKS4GIVING
How does the drink you promote compare to Kachava?
Everyone owns Tesla stock, it just isn't OTA activated yet
Bigger batteries are a worse solution than better charging infrastructure
Would have been better to not have a massive glass roof instead of trying to write software to cool the cabin down when it overheats.
Can't find your links ?
The next Gigafactories will probably be the doubling of the size of Texas and Berlin.
BMW
If Elon allowed vehicle-to-grid (V2G) with the current fleet of 2170 batteries and the use of V2G deteriorated the life of the battery from 7 to 10 years currently- to 3 to 4 years with V2G, customers would complain like hell and the media would be all over it and Elon would look like a fool!
Elon Musk is much smarter than you give him credit for. None is doing V2G today. Most legacy automakers aren’t using LFP batteries therefore Most “competitors can’t even do over-the-air updates.
Most legacy automakers aren’t using LFP batteries therefore they don’t have batteries that can handle daily V2G without drastically degrading the life of the battery.
When the 4680 battery becomes more prevalent and when the CybrTrk begins shipping, I suspect Tesla will announce Vehicle-to-Home capabilities and later provide V2G for Tesla’s Robotaxi fleet because they will have much more control on the charging and grid demand curve using their Autobidder software.
The “competition” will never get this far because they have no grid experience and they lack the technology AI expertise required to do V2G cost effectively. I don’t suspect the electrical grid operators will have the technical expertise to offer individual EV owners this V2G service anytime soon.
I really don’t see any “competition” forcing Tesla to do V2G ever. I believe that Tesla will continuously be a leader in these technology areas
You’ll find out shortly when Munro takes it apart.
I was just in Cooperstown New York with my Tesla model S plaid. A gentleman they’re rented a Polestar. He was complaining to me that there wasn’t anywhere he could get a fast charge. He said he needed to drop it off and take an Uber back to the hotel. I told him he should’ve rented a Tesla.
Ford Maverick Thunder? Why not use Lightning in the US as well? Thunder does not sound interesting and it confusing. Thunder refers to sounds not electricity by Lightning.
Berlin and Austin have so much room to grow…
BMW is out of its mind. DESPERATE- 👍😊🚀👌🌏
17% growth in 2024.., what a joke. Elon will burn those estimates … along with Tesla shorts. 🚀🚀🚀🔥🔥🔥
Makes BMW seem ridiculous. One reason I would never buy a BMW.
