Tesla constantly updates and improves its vehicles. They also will sell at least 1.5 million this year and maybe 2 million in 2023. Each with zero advertising expense and at very high margins. GM is talking about securing materials etc. for 2025 like it's some kind of success. Who is holding their breath to wait for a GM product? I am pessimistic. When GM is ready to join the parade, it will be long past.

Re: VW ID4… Seems odd that VW says that inventory is huge while dealers say that supply is short? I blame the car dealers… 🙂

Let’s see… chip demand is beyond imagination. Shouldn’t the companies just build new factories and charge higher prices for their chips ? Seems like governments should be giving them 0% interest to build factories, rather than mega billions in free money. Could also guarantee purchase commitments for military needs.

Such a great ideea ! GM is selling less cars but making more money. It seems that the actual "crisis" is on purpose, the producers decided to reduce the production and increasing the prices. Instead to increase the number of cars produced to make more money by volume it is much easier to work less and to obtain more. În fact, those from cars industry are not the only who used the pandemy to design methods for making more money by blaming Covids
Makes no sense! Tesla started charging for "Premium Connectivity" for a couple of years now. No car get 8 years free anymore. My 2022 MX "free" connectivity ends in February 23, one year after delivery. Nothing has changed, more FUD!
I hope Tesla and all the other manufacturers betting big on service subscriptions in vehicles loose their 'butts' on that bet when perspective buyers revolt.

Imagine paying $12,000 (or more) for level 2 "Full Self Driving," then having to pay an additional subscription for navigation.
Solar car is DOA. it's basically impossible not to scratch it and it's even worse when you have a small accident. It will cost you more to maintain and repair than the savings it provides
Do we still need to be subsidising a small no of luxury priced small volume bev cars. Phevs need to go. No green party supports hybrid subsidies and phevs are still burning fossil fuels.
