04:18 Isn't it 10 bars per slot in the hairpin of the PM motor of CyberTruck? From what I can see on the video, there are 5 rows of end windings there.
That looks like a delight to repair ;-/
Easy to get half a million miles out of an 06 honda civic, and even easier for a TDI volks Jetta, 300k should he where everything gets by default, and it is possible to get a million miles out of those afore mentioned models. This guy acts like he used to work for ford or 🤢 Chrysler 🤮
I find these videos cool but (and this is where feelings get hurt) I still question the confederate flag on the one guys office
Great video and I hope your hands getting better love the work you’ve been doing in that area too
Is the solid magnet for the motor the reason there is a pulsing vibration at some speeds? This is reminiscent of older automatic transmission when you are traveling at a speed that is kind of between two gears.
Elon Musk previously stated Tesla would produce a Cybertruck quad motor (Plaid) model (like the Rivian quad motor truck). Tesla has been silent since Elon Musk's announcement and has not released more information about the quad motor model of the Cybertruck. Do you think a quad motor is still in the works or think Telsa has already built and tested some prototypes with quad motors? Is Tesla planning to introduce a Cybertruck quad motor model in the near future? There are the disadvantages of cost, weight, and potentially an increase in power consumption. Are there enough advantages with a quad motor design to overcome the disadvantages?
They should make the video from start of assembly of the car instead of the tear down version.
In a synchronous electric motor, is there a changing magnetic field around the magnets? I never new, maybe a new technology?
Terrible truck
Can you compare motors from VW and tesla, new 550 VW GTX motor should be good or is it???????
This video is brought you by Ziploc 😂
Is there coolant running through the motor? I've seen that be a common failure for Teslas.
Im not a fan of Sandy talking about his feelings regarding beibg behind the wheel. Regardless of whether the powertrain is excellent or not, admitting that you own a model youre analyzing and telling people hiw much you love the ride distracts from what Munro does, and diminishes the company's reputation as a neutral arbiter of vehicle quality.
Could the rear motor be split and used as 2 motors in a different application or do they need to be interlinked (using a different controller)
Looks delicate, Fancy and expensive not for me.
15:00 Land Cruiser 70 series : "Hold my beer Sandy" 😂😂😂 (just one example that they can)
Cyber shitbox 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
@sparksmcgee6641 why not use BTU instead of kWh ???
what the hell is a cybered ruck
Sad to see ya simp so hard
Cyber 💩 weak poor quality and not good enough for real work obviously they never drove a Toyota and my Nissan will go 400k
Biased B.S
Haha electric cars outliving ICE ones, how ridiculous. EVs batteries do not last over 15 years, what happens at that point? 20k repair or junk the car? It doesn't sound like stellar longevity, or cheap.
So the inverter on the motor is used for recharging during decel?
Just saw another video on the RAV4 electric, which uses motors built by Tesla.. Drive unit was making noise due to failed motor bearings. The motor bearings in those units are sealed bearings – they obviously will fail at some point, probably less than 100k miles. Much less than oil bath bearings. Are the Cybertruck motor bearings sealed, or do they run in oil? What about Tesla’s other vehicles? I’m guessing this is why most high mileage Teslas have been through several drive units?
I would rather change oil, than change bearings. Better design would give 3X life with proper maintenance.
Is Elon giving away bitcoin? ?? If not you have a fraudulent advertisement at the end of your video
Lucid does the square wire winding the best, 1 motor is 670HP vs tesla 3 motor 845HP.
With all that power and torque. It gets stuck in the snow. https://youtu.be/yhWqls-CQww?si=Uq8zC5fOBE3ihf2Z
Seems like the guys at TESLA have a lot of what you call "Common sense".
The Wizard managed to work on an electric without breaking anything..
Sounds like tesla will just be a motor manufacturer for Ford GMC and Toyota at some point
Could we get a breakdown of the integrated inverter?
750k miles? Rofl the motor might last that but there is no way the rest of tesla lasting anywhere near that, it isn’t a pre 2021 Toyota. You
Probably go through 5 batteries u could buy 5 new engines and get 1.5 million + miles easy. And yes piston engines can last that long especially diesels and some gas have had records that high. The car is to complex to many failures in the first month on these cars then simple cars have threw there entire life
and this is how you getting your failin sales fixed???? that truck is a heavy overpriced crap. You can stick a diesel in it, they not gonna sale, just because of its outside looks 🙂
Less Sandy talking and more others from the company.
Wow, the fact that they have to explain about how they are not going to get shocked.
I didnt think that many people dont know about batteries and d/c power.
Yes it can shock you but, its not like a/c in how easy you can get shocked.
Pmsm always has better density that ac induction, but axial beats both in density and cooling
Damm, they are huge motors… it is funny how simple this is, the inverter is maybe the most complex part of the motor. A gas engine might be 1000x more parts, car manufactures love having tons of parts that can break
14:00 – if this is what all the companies are doing, why is it so impressive that Tesla did it? This guy needs to lay off Tesla Kool-Aid, this is basic electric motor science.
Is Elon changing the company's name to Maga Motors? 😎
Great video.
I really love this type of video. Thank you for sharing; it's very informative.
10:00 it looks like a reluctance motor which is new technology used in model y also. I think it is not a pm motor. I have trained on those new technologies last month. It looks very similar to reluctance motor.
