I’ve a 2018 BMW X5. The Idrive system reboots roughly each 3 minutes or so and appears to always be looking for the nav system. Carplay doesn’t perform. The backup digital camera stays on a bit longer than is ought to and the contact and wheel management is usually a however laggy. Onerous reset did nothing, and because it reboots, it appears like a pc shard drive.hutting down and restarting.
It’s on the dealership now and they’re hoping a $350 software program replace will repair it. I can stay with that, although it’s irritating as this appears to be a reasonably widespread drawback from what I’m studying.
However I’m having heartburn, as a result of they inform me if they cannot repair it through software program, then I want a completely new headunit at a value of $3622.00! This appears actually excessive…am I lacking one thing?
