🏆Would you ever buy a cheap, discounted EV?🤔
🔴IT STARTED! The Greatest EVs Market CRASH Is Here WATCH HERE 👉 https://youtu.be/2IDDs2c3ER4
EV’s… 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
As someone who drives 250 miles per week, minimum, an EV with real world range of less than 300 miles in the winter is not worth considering. I don't want to charge every three to four days.
EVs are dead and are now on damage control
If only there was some high density solution, something which could be carried and poured as easily as water.
Fabulous post! Incredibly valuable to those who, like me, are considering their first EV purchase. I had seen the range test you referenced in this report, and, like you, I was highly disappointed in the reported ranges actually observed. In ALL cases, between 60% and 80% of manufacturers' claims.
I had planned to rent a Tesla Long Range Model 3 from the local Hertz franchise, but I was just a bit too late: they have sold off all their inventory, and no longer have the model I wanted to try out.
Maybe in a couple of years, when battery technology has advanced further.
I got a 700km trip to the top of Australia. There are no charge stations. When the temperature is over 40c how do they perform? Also if I had one I would be the local weirdo lol.
The authority that allow car companies to claim such false range are real misleaders to public.
It also undermines the main argument for EVs. They're supposed to be environmentally friendly and zero CO2. But they are far more kilowatt hungry (and less efficient) than claimed. In the overwhelming majority of countries those kilowatt hours have to come from burning coal or gas in a power station. It may be conceivable that in the real world EVs result in more emissions than petrol or diesel.
You can’t expect them to invest money increasing mileage, they have to spend that money, bribing government officials to create the loopholes, and for the magazine, and YouTube mouthpieces to spread the lies, you have to cut corner somewhere.
It's a scam on Milage.
Charge electric car in Australia 50% more than petrol.
The worst car I ever drove was a 1959 Chev 6 cylinder with the 2 speed auto trans. A kid on a bicycle could beat it in a street race. But I would choose that brick over any electric being made now!!!!
Try stay to no more than 40 miles per hour and stay off the highway to get close the rated range. Make sure the temperature is moderate and don't drive against the wind.
What you are calling manufacturers claims are actually legally required measurements against an externally defined test standard. They are NOT and never were intended to be a measurement of achievable range in real world conditions. If you are going to talk about EVs please learn something about them first.
Well actually a recent report contradicts this. You work for Oil or ICE interests. You are propaganda.
Expect 40% drop will suffice
More lies, half truths, and misinformation brought to you by legacy auto makers who lost all ability to exercise innovation in auto evolution and production long ago. They're just living off of us dummies who think planned obsolescence is just the way it's s'ppused to be.
Hey Canada, are you listening?
thats why nobody wants to buy EV in china
Why would you buy a secondhand EV as the battery pack replacement could cost more than the car. So easily damaged ,so easily lose range and cannot tow anything for long.
if you go to autotrader and ev forums tesla cars had so many battery replacement and defects of ev costing several thousands , its a massive expense to own an ev huge bills, even Robbert had battery replaced onhis ev because they are so defective
How about needing a fire prevention system . . where ever you park your EV?
I’m from Wisconsin an EV would be terrible in the winter at below zero temperatures !
wats even worse is the "serious work EV" once you load them up with something other than potato chips or cotton candy see their "advertised" range absolutely torn to shreds!
EVs, the biggest con ever foisted n the motorist.
There are still plenty of fools falling for the hideous propaganda from the fully-paid promoters. I just watched part of a pro-EV video and the bland presenter couldn’t stop talking about hearts and minds. It was pathetic. Fake agendas drive real misery, until none of us are allowed to drive anything, anywhere. That’s what this is all about.
I have to laugh at these enviros that are pushing these cars its so contradictive they say that the world is warming at an alarming rate and these cars are supposed to help keep the world cooler which is a joke in itself. Well if the temperatures stay cooler and our winters stay cold how are we going to have a decent range with these cars especially up here in canada and northern usa. Its just a big farce and all smoke and mirrors
EVs are great if you don’t want or like to go places.
BMW does it best by underrating their horsepower numbers. When tells you that your inline 6 cylinder engine gets 300 hp you actually get 330 hp. Now that is value for money. None of the EV conceit or massive lying about range. Util EV manufactures come up with a much better and truthful product it is ICE for me all the way.
What a great idea!
Let's power cars with flashlight batteries.
What could possibly go wrong?🙄
There are plenty of EV owners that get more than the advertised mileage especially in warm climates.
I get 5.7mi/kwh lifetime and over 6.5 in summer 50% freeway / 50% city. I have physically driven 350miles between charges in my Tesla rated advertised with 272mile range.
If you have a home charger the ownership and driving experience of EV's is monumentally better than owning an ICE car.
They are forcing us into electric vehicles so they have the capability to control our travel, it has nothing to do with the environment, wake up people!!!
I'm loving this. My last car was a 1990 Volvo 240DL wagon. It was my mother's car for the first 25½ years and 200,000 miles. On more than one occasion that little 4 cylinder was tasked with carrying a bit over 2,000 pounds. Range on the highway did drop, but from 450 miles to 400, barely over 10% in a car with 115 horsepower. It still kept up with traffic easily.
What is not talked about with winter is the range shrinkage because of snow on the road, and how long cars may have to sit in traffic due to collisions or other blocks. That can stretch to many hours. In extreme conditions that can be 24 or more hours. In those situations, the Provincial Police will bring gas to motorists who are running low on fuel. Can't quite do that with an EV. This is not a theoretical situation. It has happened multiple times around here, once including a total shut down of the region for the week it took to clear the 10 foot snow drifts off the main highways.
People will believe what the manufacturer tells them, not believe all the real reason from all the reports from different sources
7 – misleading range.
Thus is a standard test applied to all vehicles so we can see how they compare to each other. UT is not intended to be an evaluation against real-world conditions.
It is intended as a way to evaluate cars.
If you choose not to pre-condition the batteries you will get lower performance.
Physics… all batteries work best in specific temperature ranges – too cold and they cannot release all the stored energy.
Like driving a diesel in the cold. Take precautions. 5 minutes to heat it up…
