What's the worst thing you've done as a mechanic/technician in the work place?
If you'd like to see another video like this in the future let us know. We wanted to change it up for the rest of the year.

this is why i never raise up lifts too high on trucks
How the heck every switch honks the horn?… that's just weird.
8:11 I had a tech that worked in my shop for awhile that would set lifts like that, and I straight up got him fired (more reason than doing that but that was one of them)
Dodged the ram – well played 🫡
Some of these R really tuff to watch. Others are crimes against humanity Thank you for creating a No-Hype-Zone. Just good
-clean-fun. p.s. Doing repairs? Just be HONEST. I would choose a honest so-so mechanic over an outstanding, dishonest one anyday. You'll have more work than you can shake a jack handle at. Cheers!those small lifts are meant to go that high, wtf.. Those are like for tires. I wouldnt trust that lift to raise it that high, crazy.

2:12

@2:05 someone has fitted the battery in the wrong orientation. The poles are meant to be either side of the brace.
Either that or the US models have a clamp? In Europe at least we often have two batteries under the seat on RWD and they are always seated 90 degrees to this one in the video.
03:14 Wait, what? I had to play this section back a few times…
He, "…Dodged the Ram?" HAHA! Well done indeed, fine sir. 😁
2:22 Now he knows how his Wife feels….
I don't know how much they had paid for them to licensed mechanic
Being a mechanic seems like fun, but man, I am glad I don't have that job.
The Chevy truck doesn't have a drain plug. Get another so called Technician.
painting the alternator and charging for a new one is diabolical
i have been a mechanic for about 5 years. lot of happened that I made some mistakes and stuck around for a year or so before i left.
Absolutely fantastic! My new favorite video!
2:02 is what makes me angry, average nublet thinks that if its "factory made" then it means it's better than DIY, but that's totally other way around.
factories make things to bare minimum and they don't care for quality, it makes me SO ANGRY when i make my own mods that work 100x better, but don't often look "professional" and then dumb idgets laugh over it and think it's bad.
there's your factory professional expert work, they put a bracket literally in a place that it ignites entire van on fire. yup .. keep on yapping half-brainers.
what i like about this channel, is that it doesn't boast and hoax with all this "SUBSCRIBE NOW!!!!" "LIKE NOWWW" before video even starts, straight down to content and discreet "consider subscribing and liking" at end of video.
every time people do this, i gladly leave them a like (IF i liked the video ofc), but those who start yapping at start of video, i instantly hit dislike and usually click away.
On the last one with the too long of an extension just tighten it back up and put a smaller one on it is not that big of a deal.
It’s one thing to break something on a customer’s car and not admit to it. But to break something, charge them for a new one, and not even replace it, is straight up scum.
im no mechanic but i have watched my dad work on 8 different vehicles over the course of 35 years and I can say without a doubt most fails can be avoided by simply taking your time and thinking about what it is you need to do vs the problem and how to go about doing it properly.
And people wonder why they decline service
A guy I know told me a story about how the technicians at the shop he worked in would wire the horn to the turn signals for pranks on the other techs cars from time to time. As for the Durango that slid off the jack stands and almost crushed guy on the creeper; do Durango's have a rear subframe? It feels like the only way that happens is the body rolling away from the subframe being disconnected. Though it does kind of look like he disconnected something and it dropped onto the jack stand and bent it; he had a code brown for sure!
Tbf the last clip was just a rookie mistake
2:25 “I’m gay”
3:13 He "Dodged the Ram". I see what you did there.
At 62, it brings back memories.
Thanks guys. Always fun !!!!
A few of those are honest "oops" moments… with no harm done. Those I like the best.
*Honk…honk…
They got all kinds of wiring issues in this thing.
*Fart. honk
What the…?!
So this is "the other shop" that the other customers talk about
Fuckin shop ghosts…
he dodged the ram 😂
The truck said dodge he took that to heart
Was that transmission pan made of PLASTIC??? 😂😂😂😂
It comes to a point, where any shop owner, has MANDATORY DRUG TESTS !!!!
I’ve done the last one more times then I wanna admit especially with rachet wrenches
This is why I use my Jeep dealership shop. Yes, more expensive, but I get OEM parts with good warranties, excellent work in a huge and very clean garage. Specialized testing equipment I couldn't find a a basic shop. AND, if something goes wrong, I have many levels of people to reach for a solution whereas a regular shop I have to fight the owner who most likely doesn't have the huge bank to fix an issue they caused. Usually ending in a fight to get them to do right by the customer. You may save money out of the gate with a basic shop, you will end up replacing the same after-market junk they installed over again or paying to have another shop fix what the first messed up and still you can't be certain they won't screw up. The dealership is the way to go. #PerkinsMoparMotorCity
For the last clip, just cut the extension, they are a dime a dozen
Kind of misleading to call it “just rolled in” when a lot of these are clearly that mechanics fault…
I watch these videos and it's exactly why I spend the extra two or $300 to have my vehicle worked on at the dealership
Why every video starts with “Customer States”?
So, no one just comes for a particular part replacement anymore? Meaning, I already know what should be done, I cone with my own parts. All I want you to do is to replace them. Cuz you have all the right tools and the lift.
I think Vincent’s dealership can be in there now too
Never realized how dangerous those jacks can be 🥶 Also maybe that mechanic wired that Buick that way since you never know when you need to honk at someone 😆
Near fear unlocked. Taking my car to a shady mechanic.
I was nearly killed by an 84 Honda Accord. The car started rocking overhead when a bolt wouldn't come loose, the pad shifted out and bonked me directly on the top of my head. I was hit so hard, I was on my hands and knees, everything was black except a pinhole of light. I could hear the car coming down over me and had just enough presence of mind to roll out of the way as it came all the way to the ground where I was just standing. The wheels were off, so it came right to the ground. The top of my head, neck and lower back were all tingling from the impact. I had complained about that hoist before. Everyone was oooing and ahhhing about the car. After 5 mins or so, someone finally asked me if I was OK. The dealer didn't want to make a claim, so they brought me in the next day to swap the AC from one car to another without pay to make up for it without telling me. I quit.
