other than paying $80,000 initially it's WAY cheaper than flying…..
Isn’t it common sense that a Tesla or any EV car is horrible for road trips ? 😅
Tesla does not impress me at all.
Actually, there are superchargers in Springfield mo in multiple locations
Hate to break it to you but even a BMW is considered reliable if only driven for 2500 miles.
Sorry, but you are not driving that car. It is driving you. In some places it would be impossible. My brother lives in the Yukon. It is further than optimal range between towns, never mind chargers. No thanks.
Lol of course he’s selling it
Listening to Taylor swift I see 😂
how much is the car? Anyone? I'm tired of paying for gas..
Just a tip for anyone watching, my son has a Model X and the Tesla portable charger that can plug into a 50 Amp (230V) RV plugin. I think that charges at 30 amps, so not bad. On a road trip you could figure out an RV campground to prearrange a charge stop with. Be willing to pay for an overnight campsite, I'd think that would be do-able. (For a trip segment with no Supercharger.)
I’m a couple hours south of John Ross here in Oklahoma. I’ve been saying for years that full EV just don’t make sense in this part of the country (at least not yet).
I've got a 2017 MS100d, 0-60 in 3.5, 720 ft lbs of torque….30K dollar sticker price. Still has 2 years on unlimited miles battery and drive unit warranty; and it came with premium connectivity + the MCU2 upgrade. I wont be handing the keys over quite so easily….I think i've only greased the door hinges and added in some wiper fluid. For the money….there is nothing on the globe new or used that matches Tesla. I've got 110k on the odometer, runs new…..charges @ 100% w/ 310 miles of range. I barely pay energy costs to operate it… i feel guilty owning it. I wish i still had $5k in maintenance costs on my Audi which is just a hanger queen now.
Paraphrase: "It's so good, but unusable."
Makes perfect sense. 😛
I watched the Car Trek where Hoovie bought a Tesla Model S…… I think. And he said as a commuter car it would be great. But long road trips with stopping at charging stations, Not the best idea.
Is it still for sale though?? Might know someone in the KC area that’s interested. Cough cough
Way to go JR. A 13-minute video ad on selling your car.
AUTOMATIC DOOR OPENING IS not TECHNOLOGY… I'ts just automation of functions that DON'T need to be automated.
Also..I'm a car guy, and don't want a car to drive itself even if the roads are dead straight.
They make excellent City commuters… that's it.
I'm interested! where are you selling it?
It never ceases to amaze me that people do not do their homework to see if this vehicle fits their needs and how they going to use it. This is new technology. It is going to have its drawbacks at this point in time. I met a guy that was unhappy after he bought one because he lives in an apartment (no charging available) AND the nearest supercharger was about 45 min away, not to mention how far the service center was! WTF! Impulse buying? Ignorance? Just a complete dead part of the brain? Autistic? …? As Watch JR goes says, it is a great car in so many ways. For me the best I have EVER owned and maybe the last one. For others…not so much…do your homework.
EVs were never meant to be road trip cars. If anything just a commuter car.
