Don't forget to check out Ground News and use that 30% discount if you'd like, I think you'll find it quite useful! https://ground.news/electrified
The NACS standard is technically superior and much more compact than any other ones. Manufacturers who don't adopt it will be at a serious disadvantage. Lucid will likely be blocked due to the bad blood. This could be the final nail in the expensive coffin.
VW has been seriously damaged by their abysmal software and their unwillingness to get to grips with it. Bad news travels far and quickly.
VW vacation. I'm from Sweden but regulations are similar. Workers have paid vacations, so when VW adds a week, they add costs. They have to pay workers salary for not beeing there. The amount payed? About the same or slightly higher on what they have working. Not sure this is the case in USA.
you can see in the original Dan video he is accelerating by stepping on the pedal.
I do 180 miles a day and in 3 years I’ve only used a public charger twice 😊
Dillion, knock off the “Trump humor”. Fake and counter productive. For those listening with same view, vote with thumbs 👎🏻 Are your parasites actually anti DJT alien symbionts affecting your speech?
Fun fact: Guy with a Polestar rented from Hertz that I met at a Tesla Supercharger had a TESLA–>CCS Adapter. Only works on L2 but obviously this is still part of Tesla's mission of increasing sustainable transportation. There were no Tesla L2 around and I sent him towards the closest CCS.
VW still buying its own cars to inflate numbers?
VW demand is falling because they are ignoring reality – they have inferior cars compared to Tesla.
Dan drives around for 80 hours before finding a issue he can post on Tesla ……
properly standardising NACS brings AGAIN up the question: what's with V2G / V2H / V2x?!?
ELON, why do you not put this in the NACS specification, why does my Tesla not allow for this and why do Tesla Wallboxes not support this?!?
RIP John B. Goodenough
nice
OOOps! I think its time for Danny boy to run to the Green Hills & beg for a Tesla FSD partnership!
GreatTesla-bars/charts/graphs showing how Tesla and EVs are GROWING FAST and ICE MELTING FAST and why share holders in Tesla should be very happy!! https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1OqOLqEkZNcKCxMvOwdA30dGPykNaeNf-?usp=sharing
Great work as always Dillon! Glad I am able to catch up with my extensive Tesla fam after my currently very long days. Let's Go Tesla! Tesla is dragging this industry forward, but not everyone is going to make it. Lordstown motors wasn't a surprise, it's just a shame for the retail community that didn't understand how to evaluate a company. Tesla is the next Tesla!
Micro EV market still up for grabs and will be huge in ALL urban areas until FSD hits in volume?
@2:30 expedited timeframe Yeah. There's nothing for the SAE to do except rubber stamp the Tesla documents.
I love the idea of FFV (Fud Fighting Videos) – yet another TLA (Three Letter Acronym) – but to ACCELLERATE the awareness, to prime ALL HUMANS to "Go Tesla"/electric will accellerate Tesla's mission – not sure WHY this is so hard for Tesla to get into their mindset and part of the plan: INFORMATION, COMMUNICATION & PR as well as ALL FREE digital efforts as SEO, CRO, UX and more.
Sure PPR is/can be low-cost, but SEO and email is EVEN CHEAPER, but "baby-steps"…..
@2:20 … you say the SAE effort "is redundant because the super charger network is these things" … no you misunderstand the purpose of standards. There are plenty of standards where there are pre-existing single vendor implementations prior to adoption. the purpose of the SAE work in interop. That anybody can build a NACS device, and it should work with a standards compliant device built by anyone else. That one implementation exists is great, but doesn't actually matter for SAE purposes, and standardization is needed for the purposes of every manufacturer other than Tesla. A typical thing that happens, is a vendor publishes their spec, but there are errors or omissions in it that lead to ambiguity. Ambiguity can be interpreted differently by different companies making equipment, leading to interop problems.
The SAE never looked at NACS before because there is already an equivalent standard … J1772 and CCS1, and standards organizations tend not to adopt redundant standards… but in this case, there is a good reason 😉 Now that it is fully engaged, it should lead to cheaper components being available from many vendors in the future, and it should be cheaper and less risky (better known) to implement the connector.
Great, as usual, Dillon
A consolidation of EV start ups will be inevitable going forward IMO. Combined resources and complementary product availability will be the difference between success and failure. Looks like what happened in the ICE car industry a century earlier.
Imagine if we had to go to certain gas stations according to the size of the gasoline spigot what a clusterfuc,,,, This only makes sense and of course, you would want the aptly named NACS as your standard. I just hope the world figures it out!!
The Dan O’Dowd (no idea how it’s spelled) incident happened above the speed limit, so it’s not necessary for Tesla to have tweaked anything or for the car to have learned anything. This is a different scenario, so different results should be expected (not to mention potential differences in lighting, etc.).
Nice
I have a feeling other networks are going to be retrofit to the new standard
Volvo cars are owned by a Chinese company called Geely Automobile, though there headquarters are still in Sweden. Volvo Trucks is still owned by the Swedish company, Volvo Group though.
You are on Twitter? If no, what not? I didn't find you on Twitter. Strange.
Wait – you cooperate with Tesla daily on uploading schedule?
I feel Tesla should not advertise. I am stock holder and an owner. If they do, the must keep the budget very low.
It just extremely honorable to not advertise and to let the products speak for themselves.

Still no white interior in Thailand in the model Y available to order.
The whole EV market has been forced on America by "Regulators" and have never been voted on. You ask = What republic ?
👍
Thanks as always
It would be interested to find out if Ford, GM, Volvo would offer a retrofit to Tesla charger port to early cars that are sold with the existing system.
I assume that the connector locking system will be used on all NACS connector car side.
Sounds like FSD version 12 will be a huge step in market prices soaring after FSD will make fewer mistakes and bring more safe reliability to its Tesla owners. Time to buy more Tesla shares before it hits $1,200 per share in the next year or 2!
VW have twice the rate of Warranty repair occurences as Tesla (and the worst.)
No, the deal with USG does not open the entire Tesla charging network.
Ford & GM-can they access the entire system? I don't know.
The latest disinformation is that a Dutch ship is on fire and the world has blamed an EV.
THe carrier has 2500 gas cars and 25 ev's. The original comment that it was an ev cannot be found who said this and has no Provence, and at the current time "the source of the fire is unknown" from the Dutch coast guard.
