I actually just recently tried to do this on my wife's 2007 acura tl. Not saying that it doesn't work, but it didn't work for me. I was trying to replace the timing belt tensioner. I ended up having to compromise and cut a small piece out of the timing belt cover Where the tensioner was located. I then replaced it and worked like a charm… Sometimes you gotta do what you don't Don't want to do.😅

The holes in the brake rotors are not for air to pass through and cool them down. They are mainly there so dust and water which on the rotor can get pushed into them when braking in wet or dusty conditions. In dry conditions they make no difference. Slotted rotors work exactly the same way but tend to be worse for normal driving but better for high-speed braking.
