The brake lights on the RAV4 are LED.. Toyota has a better resale value as an extremely reliable vehicle. Maybe you want to check that out before doing reviews
Nobody cares to spend $2000 more for a sunroof. It's just a place for water to leak (and it will, eventually).
So not a one legitimate negative just some made up ones you come up with to clickbait? Shitty review.
Just Google the words: "RAV4 Cablegate" and you will find out the worst thing about the RAV4 hybrid.
When grand highlander is available for a similar price, rav4 isn’t just worth it
If only the rav4 had some style to it. Toyota designers do a good job at spoiling the great work of their engineers .
I believe with the Prime version you can drive EV mode as it should be; can anyone confirm that?
You didn't mention that the Rav4 Hybrid has an actual spare tire . The CRV Hybrid does not.
Even if there is a down side. Picking the brand who will most likely let my family go somewhere without letting us down is #1 by a landslide! That is truly all that I care about. Personally I've had amazing luck with Nissan. I've driven my 2 nissans around 700,000km combined and have only spent about $400 in all that time for a wheel hub. I changed my own brake pads, do my own oil changes… never an issue. however i like Lexus which I've owned and loved. and Toyota the most!
Things I hate about my 2021 Rav4 Hybrid. Seats are terrible even my passengers comment about them. No lighting on the door window/lock buttons. No lighting on the about console. All panels including the roof sound like tin. Luckily I'm handy and fixed all the above except the seats. Love the mileage and the ride is good, since I'm tall I would of liked more head room and leg room.
Adding sound deadening to the door interiors and roof helped on the sound. The standard speakers SUCK so of course I replaced them and added a spare tire mount sub woofer. I almost forgot about the terrible horn which I replaced quickly, now it sounds like a car horn not a rice burner lol The chrome trim above the windows is not good when you have the black out package so I blacked out all four of them. Not a bad car but surprises me it's the top selling SUV. I have the XLE Premium so it has most bells and whistles but really lacks in luxury.
I honestly feel that all finger controls should be lit up for night time safety.
No power acceleration, these hybrids are killing acceleration
Recently bought Fortuner v6 2024
Great feeling of spending money, High performance while driving
Why don’t you talk on interior noise while driving. It’s horrible compared to CRV.
2. Door design, it’s heavy and has some uneven temperature controls.
Terrible black bezel on the entertainment screen ….i Guess Toyota Hates its customers ….why have all that dead screen real estate ?????
plastic seat named softtex is gargbage what is this a 1974 plymouth Duster. absolutly horrible interior and interior colors. Enough of the crappy interiors. No package anywhere gives you a heads up display on any toyota. Toyotas and Hondas used to be reasonably prices and super reliable – honda made like a chevy now for a mercedes price and toyota thinks they are a BMW $50K for a rav4? time for a real depression to drive prices into the ground again
The RAV4 costs way less, gets better gas mileage and Toyota has more experience with hybrids, unless you are a Honda fan, why would you buy a CRV ?
All my life I wanted a Rav4 Hybrid. This year I finally bought a brand new 2023 and I love the hybrid mileage, the ground clearance and the 4 wheel drive. I was so in love that I totally ignored all the drastic design flaws. The roof is two inches too low. I am 5'10" with a tall torso and I bang my head every time I get in and out and what's even worse is the serious visibility flaws. When I look 30 degrees to the right the rear view mirror is directly in front of my face. If I want to look 30 degrees to the right I have to duck my head down to see underneath the rear view mirror. The center console is three inches too wide on both sides. It digs into my right knee making it painful to my knee cap to keep my foot on the accelerator pedal. I’m thinking about gluing on some padding to ease this problem. My wife also complains about leg discomfort on her side. The side pillars are so wide that I absolutely cannot see oncoming cars at intersections of less than ninety degrees. I feel like this is going to kill me one day. The headrest is so stupidly designed that I sometimes feel like it is forcing my head down.
After four months of constantly banging my head, serious visibility problems, the most uncomfortable seating and the loudest road and wind noise of any car I have ever owned I am now sorry that I ever bought a RAV4 at all. Plus I heard of a new class action law suit because the moon roof drains are short circuiting the air bags which it claims Toyota knew about but failed to fix which the customer must now pay to fix and there is other talk about a power cable corrosion that may cost up to $6K to fix. After four months of living with this car I'm now sorry I ever bought a RAV4.
That Calvary Blue is so SOFT. Really LGBTQ.
Or is it -QT?
Toyota engineers are so with it. They put a rubber base over the glove compartment BUT these GENIUSES with ZERO COMMON SENSE allow the vehicle being capable of only REMOTELY capable of being started 2 times and then you have to PHYSICALLY open/close a door in order to reset it. WHY is there even a limitation??? Am I missing something?
What if I go on vacation overseas or something for a month and need to start the vehicle REMOTELY daily for the sake of the battery and car's health???
Really unbelievable. SMH.
Rest separate. Motoris not connected I donotbelieve.
Wished you would have spoke about the cvt
Why did you not make a choice?
Am I dumb? Which trim has the head up display? One reason I wanted the Prime was for that. But… I don't think I can justify the price. And I can't do home charging till 2026.
Taillights and Brake lights are fully LED on all RAV4’s
I wanted to like this car due to the performance and MSRP but it's just too small. The center console bangs up against the knees at the slightest leg spread makes me feel claustrophobic. The SE model feels cheap on the interior and the dealer already wanted 50k. FFS It's a RAV4.
Purchased a 2024 RAV4, but been second guessing not checking out the Mazda CX5 first.
I own a ten year old Subaru Forester. The new Rav is a luxury car compared to mine. All I need is the money to buy it😂
These days is looks like they design the dashboards, then simply glue an iPad to the top — yuk! Always in your face monitors are simply in the wrong place, and rather ugly.
You mentioned Apple Car Play. What about Android Auto?
"Its not going to set your heart on fire, but when has a rav4 ever done that??" My brother in christ, how clearly you've the 2010 Rav4 V6 with 269hp
Two additional dislikes: Road noise is very high in the Rav4. Even in the top of the line Limited no passenger power seats? I had a 2018 C-Max hybrid that had power seats for both driver and passenger at a much lower cost. OK, there's a third, single rear seat pocket vs two seat pockets. Other than that great ride!
I updated my headlights to lasers, I had to build it myself as they are not legal or standard but they are only the high beams. I only use them if the opposite driver has their highbeams on and I blind the shit out of them. It's fantastic
