Lotus GB – Toyota 😂
For God's sake… Pick up the damn cage.
Last Lotus gas car? We will see…
15:25 – a l l modern cars have more or less generic look, so this one is not an exception.
109k for 400hp 🤣🤡
This is not a Lotus!
This is a Chinacar knockoff.
End the CCP.
looks like a baby mclaren :))
Lost me on “Camry”
I like how you can see the throttle cable moving 😂
11:44 the seat is already torn 😢
11:43 Leather seat bolsters already cracked and peeled off? Ugh.
The Supra should have had this powertrain
Too much talking holy cow
Gorgeous car
Emira in Arabic "أميرة" means Princess, this is definitely aptly named
“Last gasoline ever”. Will never happen
can be confused with one of the countless Ferrari models
The touring suspension is excellent, the gear change gets better with miles, Lotus has finance at last, so within Warranty don’t see the risk.
The fact that this comes in a manual with these specs is amazing.
Why would lotus go to electric? They make the most fun gas cars on the road. I want a orange Emira so bad!
I don't get the borderline hate for "A Toyota Camry Powertrain." A V6 is a V6, it doesn't matter if my mom knitted it together in her rocking chair, it's going to have a better low end than a flat 6.
Also, why would I be upset about a powertrain in my car that is mass produced, widely available, (mods, you say?), probably much more durable, and definitely eons cheaper to maintain (or heck, even replace) than the european stuff that, let's be honest, is probably way more engineered for failure than we want to think about?
Simply put, well done, Lotus. Not for everyone…but for the driver.
The supra should have had this engine setup
Lotus is known for it's handling, Manufacturers reach out to Lotus to improve their cars's handling.
I know this opinion wont be that popular but really a C8 would be a better daily driver car plus fun track focused weekend warrior, which is the metric i use. I cant afford a really nice daily and a weekend/track car, only one that does both.
Porshe and lotus interiors are horible
Just hold on a sec. this won't be their last gasoline powered …its just a claim / announcement they make for some specific reasons some may know about … no one would buy electric S*** from lotus ???… a car engineered for agility and light weight as a concept… won't have any niche when its loaded with half a ton of batteries and a dead silent vacuum cleaner drive train baaaahface-blue-smiling
Chinese? Batteries? No thanks
What Doug is looking for at 18:00 is a Honda S2000 gearbox. Totally love that this is a Toyota platform but likewise what concerns me is the service. I go to any local auto parts store and they have just about everything I need for my S2000. Oil, brakes, fluids, gaskets and even door lock actuators. I don’t feel like hunting down Lotus parts. And im sure they will be priced at a nice premium.
Geely from China has a 51% stake on Lotus and 82% on Volvo, isn't that sad😢
When i was a kid growing up i knew back then that Lotus was British 🇬🇧 and Volvo was Swedish 🇸🇪
now price went up to 105,000
Was anybody else just watching the throttle during the driving portion?
Doug! We would love to see you review the Opel/Vauxhall Lotus Carlton!
Now that lotus is a Chinese shill they are REALLY going bankrupt this time.
I don't think you mentioned the front sounding super charger noise… Was wondering how that worked … Or the throttle body you can see behind the glass as you apply throttle.
Calling this a Camry engine is inaccurate, because almost all Camrys have smaller 2.4 & 2.5L engines. This engine is only used on the high end GSV40 Camry and on many other more upscale Toyotas.
Pretty sure this has the same chassis as the evora. Lotus just doesn't want you to think that.
Anyone else watchi9ng in 2030, where Lotus are renowned for being able to make EVs that weigh less than 4 tons?
What a beautiful car, kuddos to Lotus for coming back with a bang
It's Chinese owned now. That's a showstopper.
16:17 fart "Thats a pretty aggressive tire"
The Emira is probably just what I want, but out of my price range. That said, I would not buy it, considering the new owners origins. Sorry China, but your ways our not my ways.
OR just get a Cayman GTS 4.0 🔥
