Hey Guys, Just a quick FYI. So I'm getting asked a lot " why didn't you sort out all the rust on the underside, suspension components, radiator brackets etc etc " well this is only the first stage of restoration , in this episode the car is "restored" to a roadworthy condition so that I can enjoy it guilt free through the spring summer and autumn months but come winter it will be getting "restored" to showroom condition. I hope this answers most of your questions and puts your fears at rest. Oh and as for the barrage of " why did you cover up the fog lights" Its a Subaru rally heritage thing that started with the original Impreza back in 1993 on the world rally stages.
Just wanted to say, doing spark plugs on a 2nd gen honda fit is a nightmare. You quite literally have to remove the wipers, wiper cowl and support just to get access to them properly. They had a factory issue where the plugs were undertorqued and could pop out of their holes + coil packs not lasting nearly as long as they should. New NGK plugs torqued to 19 lb-fts seems to fix the issue for good.
The spark plugs can be replaced much more easily if you loosen the engine mount at the bottom and lift the engine with a jack first at the cylinder head on the left. The ignition coils and spark plugs can then be easily removed and reinstalled. then lower the engine on the left again and repeat the same procedure on the right side
Great and fantastic project job!!!!
I had a 1968 Mercury Cougar Eliminator with a 428cid engine. That required taking the motor mounts loose and jacking the engine up about two inches to get access to the spark plugs. It was a pain in the butt. But one of the fastest (straight from the factory) cars I ever owned.
I like how the "abandoned" car beads water like it was waxed the day before. 😂
Truely like that…nice work 👍
Feek ! Yalan
no excessive commenting no over hyped personality, very nice cozy video to watch.
ARAÇ ÇOK TEMİZMİŞ RESTORE ETMEYE DEGER BİR ARAÇMIŞ
I find it such a shame to have reassembled a new shock absorber and brake disc and Etriter restored on a support, (I don't know the name) visibly rusty and dirty, why not have it brushed with iron, treated against rust and painted?
this is the first video of your I've watched, bloody great!
My Summer Car reference…. Instant subscribe, 😂
brilliant! wish my forester sg was turbo… )
She looks beautiful! It's always good seeing cars like these getting restored to their former glory and running again, saved from potentially being sent to the scrap heap! Well done, great video, and keep up the awesome work!
Beautiful transformation. 🎉🎉
My family mini van had a transverse v6. The only time i heard my dad use profanity was when changing the back three spark plugs in the winter. They were worse than my wrx.
Get an abandoned Subaru (how long ?), change the turbo, change timing belt, change water pump, and nothing else and it fires up at the first attempt ?
I don't believe that.
What an outstanding job! Thank you so much for documenting your progress for us all to enjoy!
I am a fan of the Subayo Impreza, and your work on it is amazing and worth watching. Thank you for returning it to the original❤❤❤
Is this some kind of english?
I found your Ducati build. I was surprised you worked on cars too. Handy guy. But no lift?
That is not restoration. It is a fiction! 😂
RX8 has worse spark plugs to reach.
👍
i love that my summer cars reverence
My 2009 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP. To change the rear plugs, you have to remove the motor mounts and pull the whole engine forward. Even after that its still incredibly difficult.
You are great.
The entire video is nice and all, but the fact that you didn't treat the inside rust under the carpet just demolishes everything. Look at the size of these rust spots…
Thank you for bringing this beauty back to life🙏🏽🩵
Well done! I love boxer Subaru… Nice job
