The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Company has issued tenders to go forward with organising gas shops as various non-fare income sources. Tenders have been issued for working gas shops at 24 places.
BMTC has issued tender for Set up and Commissioning of Retail Gasoline Retailers by Public/Personal Sector enterprise oil corporations on fee of month-to-month license charge and fee on sale of gas and non gas merchandise in BMTC land.
BMTC intends to develop its land by organising the shops to generate business revenues for an settlement interval of 15 Years from the date of signing of settlement, of which 9 months would be the gestation interval.
