Toyota is the best vehicle on the planet
Toyota looks cooler.
Why???$&@ Toyota have to play catch up??&&@
i would rather see a little larger bed…and 1/2 cap 4 door…like the Ford Ranger had.
Oh boy, another truck/crossover/suv I don't ever want. Yawn.
Need elec motors on trailers===smaller hp to pull
Out of 52k sold, how many of those buyers were actually gen z? 2:05
Maybe, one day, Toyota will begin thinking about manufacturing the Stout. One could only hope, Terry!
The Toyota Stout is dumb looking. If i won one in a contest, i would immediately trade it in for a maverick. How is it going to destroy the Maverick? It doesn't even exist yet. It looks like a plastic baby toy lol. Vroom Vroom googaaa!
I don't want any hybrid anything
Fold rear sets..slide back of cab forward===long box
So where is the Stout???
I hope the Stout ACTUALLY Looks like those pics… and be AWD Hybrid.
That is EXACTLY what I'm wanting, good looking, Off Road already basic Ready, and not tiny like the Santa Cruz, not enough leg room etc.
The only reason the Maverick went “viral” is because it’s the only affordable pickup in the United States. Now, as Ford slowly increases the price, it’s “viral popularity” will fall as well.
Wow an affordable vehicle; imagine that
I hope it has a little more towing capability. Maybe 5000 lbs.
Anyone else remember when Toyota dominated the mini-truck market in the 80's?
Where in thunder are all of these Ford Mavericks located? I've driven across half of the U.S., and I've counted around 25 Ford Mavericks. That's it! Either their whereabouts are a mystery, or someone is making up numbers.
I'd say the only thing Toyota needs to do to crush Ford would be to keep it's dealers from marking up the Stout the way Ford dealers did…
Being a 4×2 Rear wheel drive compact 2 door 4 cylinder truck owner since ever since. I've been patiently waiting for toyota to release a 20,000 to 30,000 range compact pickup truck.Sign me up for a new purchase 😎👍🇺🇸
Insane Toyota truck that hasn’t come out yet at all destroys a truck already in market (and doing incredibly well)?
I think if the Toyota has hybrid and AWD, it will dominate. The Maverick hybrid is only FWD
The winner of the small truck game will be those that can deliver at a good price, and still be a good little truck. If Toy or Chevy can get it running faster than Ford with decent power price and storage not to mention availability they will win 🏆
The reason for It's success is price. Full size truck prices exceed what many people are able to afford
What marketing genius came up with that name…Stout? Worse than naming it after a western US city….which seems to be a marketing fad….Sedona, Telluride, Tacoma, etc…..
In Denver, the 2022 Mavericks came to dealerships and the sticker price was $32,000. I wonder what the local Toyota dealerships here will do with this supposed $23,000 pricetag?
I'll take the Ford Maverick
Yep
Toyota in my estimation is kind of saying to Ford we won't compete at the bottom of the market you can have it but we will give more content for less money when people factor in the nicely equipped truck out the door price
The Toyota Stout was a very popular pickup truck in Kenya back in the 70s and 80s. Several models are still on the road .
Not a chance. Ford still makes a better little truck with a swift 2.0T.
The Last generation Tundra was really great though. Never rusted like the ford and Chevy, 5.7 IForce was a heck of an engine. Gas mileage suffered because of the 4:30 rear cogs.
Tacoma is now a long in the tooth old truck. But newer and better than the ford.
The stout will have to really prove itself against the Ford Maverick though.
And the NEW GENERATION Tundra is junk, compared to even a chevy.
