Tesla's are overpriced, full of design flaws especially poor interior quality/fit and finish and exterior gaps in body panels. Lexus is the king of quality, fit & finish is remarkable
CR, It is very disconcerting to see certain brands on and off the Top Pick list in alternate years.
Glad to see Model 3 getting some love. My 2018 has easily been the best car I’ve ever owned. Much better experiment than comparable BMW 3 Series.
Tesla recall = 362,000
No Hondas????
Damn, not 1 Honda
Subarus consume a lot of oil, it’s inherent in their boxer design. Consumer Reports even mentioned it in a past review, Talking Cars I think it was. And the engine needs to be removed just to change the head gaskets.
The Tesla ??? 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Do the korean brands have the security issues?
Tesla sucks! 🤮
You ok Consumer Reports? 🤒
The rest of the list looks good. ✅
Tesla chargers where? I live in central Florida I have not seen a charging station yet
The Corolla Cross is a slug . Slow as molasses in January
I love my 2013 Tesla model S 150,000 miles on the original battery and still going strong and the supercharger network is amazing
Tesla, best EV experience, sh!t management running the company, and way overpriced (at least here in Canada) considering the build quality, ride etc.
NO SUZUKI SAMURAI?? what a shame
a few months ago ,the Hyundai Tuscon hybrid was SUCH the CR darling ….then POOF!!…GONE!!
Yeah Jeff makes a great point on the Corolla as to where you live and the cost of electricity.
STOP RECOMMENDING SUBARU FORESTER THE CVT TRANSMISSIONS' ARE JUNK TERRIBLE WARRANTY !
Long-term reliability should factor more into the ratings. I have seen a lot of Chrysler and GM junk get recommended based on one or two years of data. These cars have usually become black circle specials. It is a disservice to the readers and to CR's reputation to recommend a model with only a year of data.
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, no one pays for reports when there are so many free resources available. Rising competitors made this free and it will continue. CR could focus on the needs/wants of each trim levels in a vehicle, but eventually someone will do it for free.
But the Santa Fe hybrid only gets 30 mpg combined. That is terrible!
Do they drug test you people at Consumer Reports? Somebody was obviously high as a kite.
Really looking forward to a Model three someday.
what a joke,,, THE TESLA is the worst car brand you can buy… the windshields crack if you go over a speed bump.. can you say major safety issue
Lexus is the most overpriced TOYOTA that you can buy and it looks like my 5 year old designed it
KIA and HYUNDAI? wow GREAT PICks.. IF YOU WANT A CAR THAT CATCHES FIRE!
last but not least…SUBARU is having major engine issues with their powertrain… they cant figure out why their engines are blowing up.. good luck
Vw taos or mazda cx50 ??
But I thought BMW the best?
Everything is hybrid here
Um lexus? These are all cheap garbage.🗑
Toyota and Honda are sleep walking into the future. They are looking to the past and projecting it forward.
EV adoption is accelerating every year. Exponential not linear. The only limiting factor is batteries.
The number of electric vehicles and types of vehicles and trucks is growing.
Electric vehicles are just better. No noise, no emissions, less fuel costs, less maintenance costs and amazing technology. Gasoline and diesel are OLD polluting technology. PHEVs still have a gasoline engine polluting the environment. Toyota and Honda will be late to the party. It will cost them market share, market value and future customers. There is a Climate Crisis. Young people will not buy petrol and diesel vehicles that add to the Climate Crisis. Toyota needs to learn a lesson from Nokia or Kodak. They will continue to lose market share until they do or they will go bankrupt. They are starting at the top but there is a long way down.
Texas model Y is a disposable car . if you get an accident, you cannot fix the battery. Structural batteries equals disposable car. It cost too much to repair .Insurance company they just write you a check. I hope the cybertruck does not come with a structural battery.
What about convertibles? Oh wait – almost no one loves them anymore. Sad because convertibles are wonderful.
The Tesla Model 3 on red, the peint quality is very bad just pas your hands over the peint and you will see plenty of scratches.
