Surely the idea of an auction is to accept the highest bid, not say "that's not enough".
If you want a certain price, then put a price on it, otherwise it is only worth what someone will bid for it.
There's some bloody silly money about if old bangers are fetching more than a three year old car. Classics? I wouldn't give some of those garage room.
I had a G plate XJ40 Sovereign a couple of years back and was struggling to get £300 for it and so it went for scrap.
The classic car market is very unpredictable. Things that were roaring a few years ago have nosedived and 80s stuff is on the up. It's a brave man that can predict what will go up. Of course, there is a difference between 'classic' and 'collectable'.
Camera work is not as good as usual several cars with some with limited views of the outside of the cars.
What happened to the rx-8? Never see them about these days and haven't for a long time.
The cars look better when the bonnet is properly closed.
Makes me laugh those in the audience who think it's a museum rather than a working auction!
47:35… look at that! I didn't know the Flumps had reformed! Yay.
Well that was fantastic! It’s great seeing some amazing cars from the past again. I think I will have a trip down at some point but for now, I can’t wait to watch the next one. Cheers
I owned a fair few british cars in the 70s and 80s ….terrible rust buckets with no power then VW and the Japanese blew them out of the water .
Wish they'd have a separate sale for mercs bmws and jags….starting to get boring
Any vehicle without a computer, the engine the right way round, with a propshaft and diff. Not needing tax or MOT, is going to fetch serious money soon!
Watson the point they will be banned by you know who
How could the Maverick be provisional when it was for no reserve?.
Im confused ..was the Mk1 Jag sold or what?
