itis a nice truck my problem is charging it again
I like the specs and price if it stays $40k but this thing looks ridiculous. Ford was way smarter to keep the F150 Lightning still looking like an actual truck.
New combustion tech will have 75% efficiency vs EV at 85% and will have 6000/8400 mile HWY range with a 88 gallon tank on Ethanol/gasoline, 10,000/14,000 city. 68 mpg Hwy/116 MPG city, 97 MPG combined.
CO2 capture (dry ice) allows air conditioning while engine is off. The engine is a combusiton heat pump of sorts. The combustion engine torques out from ZERO RPM with no battery or EV nonsense need. It has 100% brake recovery vs EV at 50%. In city, it will be ~2x better MPGe than EV with no thermal needs/control, and 3-4 times better in extreme hot/cold. Weight is 4200 LBs ( 200 LB less than 2000 Silverado) or 1/2 the EV Silverado. Can tow up to 26,000 GVW limit with added tow tech with range of 1500 to 2000 mile range for a camper. AWD, front and rear steering for ease of towing, turning around and parking. Has Electric genset for 5 kw with engine driving genset and inverter with 1/2 kw capacity to buffer power. Can use 5 kw genset to move car in no combustion mode if need for indoor use.
Make fuel at home for $1/gal with CO2 capture (1/2 above range) on vehicle. It takes $2.2/gal to capture CO2…so CO2 capture SAVES money. Electro fuels from home solar thermal and nuclear will be 3 cents/kwh or 20 times less costs than an a 100% RE grid at 60 cents/kwh. Charging an EV in the UK is already 90 cents/kwh.
Folks, EVs are obsolete. This boat anchor piece is a waste of metal, time and money. All EV companies will go bankrupt. Combustion will be around for another 75 to 100 years.
Am I the only one who thinks that $107K for this truck is unaffordable? I even think that $41k for the work version is high too. I love the looks of this truck, but I think it is heavily overpriced.
MAYBE SOMEDAY TESLA AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Hyundao Santa cruz
So the future looks pretty bleak, then. I hope your title is wrong.

I stopped watching at $107,000
That's a beautiful looking truck.
Should definitely have brought back the avalanche as this just like they did the hummer. Makes so much sense.
Wow the window comes out just like the avalanche that came out in 2002 🤣
Who tf buys these $100k pieces of shit
ill stick with gas until its 7 bucks a gallon. Which should be soon the way its going.
too big. wayyyy too big
Lol EV are a fading fad
God. This is terrible in so many ways. 🤮🤮🤮🤢. How does this pass as a truck???? This is a glorified EV SUV will a sad excuse for a bed. I hate the future. BRING BACK SQUARE BODIES
While informative this video is has a glaring issue vehicles that cost 1/3 the price of a house or outrageous if this is the future of the new car market electrical or combustion otherwise I just don't see cars sales ever peaking again the fact that only the affordable option will be available to Fleet orders is insane that shows you right there the companies are trying to coerce car buyers into higher price brackets
I mean the majority of American families can't afford these I feel that General Motors and all the manufacturers have completely lost sight of what is essential for a thriving Market it is affordability and access not Uber quality and Uber price tags to pay off research and development costs for a product they should have brought to Market a generation ago I myself will never purchase an electric car I will stick with my Silverado of antiquity
IC just think all these Executives missed the big picture no one's going to buy these cars no one and if General Motors does financially go kaput maybe their executive look back on these great ideas they had but they made them to cater to the uber wealthy not to the middle class that is literally fighting for life this truck or electric cars are not cars that the people
They cars are expensive because the engine and transmission and computer's dont you think these should be cheaper
Why does it have to look stupid just because its an EV?
I don’t know why people say American cars have bad interior this is beautiful
By the time the dealerships get these in the inventory, they will be adjusted to $150k. Not sure how many people will be willing or able to purchase a vehicle for what in some places is the equivalent of half a mortgage. I am debt free except for my home and that is only 5 years away from being paid off. My income is well into the six figures yet there is no way I would commit that much money to a vehicle. However, congrats to any new owners of this vehicle; not doubt it is impressive.
Looks so good.
Ok, Chevy is curtailing or stopping production of these EV’s until next year ? Pricing is too high, they need a midsize with more reasonable pricing!!!! Prices will get higher , since production and production setup cost need to be absorbed somewhere.
I can’t believe that an electric pickup truck costing upwards of $ 106k and who going to be able to afford it. I realize that it is the way into the future of but the manufacturers are going to have to build trucks and cars that people can afford to sell and stay in business…
I'll take a 2013 escalade ext
They look like an updated avalanche and we know how well that went.
This thing is not a truck. It's an SUV with a bed glued to the back!
So basically this is an electric Avalanche? Got it
❤❤❤❤

For those of you who have never driven an EV- wait till you get your first supercharging bill.
I think the “Avalanche” brand should have been brought back with this truck because that’s what it really is.
I don’t understand why trucks don’t just have 8ft beds. If you’re actually working out of your truck anything less is just a pain.
Cybertruck is out now. This has not aged well.
Test
Read the real world EV tests (like Ford Lightning). Demuro – cool, neat, great screens. In the real world an editor tried to take one to a family emergency in Northern California a trip that should have taken 4 hours it took over 8 with an overnight stay (additional) numerous charging problems and the 300 plus range in reality was never any better than 200 or so.. So take dougs commercials with a grain of salt
Imagina having the bed open and it start raining
GM bringing back all their dead early 2000 models as EVs that cost 100k. What could possibly go wrong
We didn’t learn by now that these American companies don’t put out good products? At this price point you’re throwing your money away at a company that has been going down hill for a while. Do yourself a favor invest in a Rivian R1T it blows this vehicle out of the water.
How much did they pay you?
