Dont belive BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar/Land Rover are less costly to repair that Subaru and even all the 10 you just said.
Yeah…………..No!
Can we see a similar list for luxury vehicles? lol
Mitsubishi beat Honda? Hmm.
Every car should get serviced once a year, that alone is already a 500$ repair annually. If everyone would do it properly, every brand would have a 100% probability.
Fiat owns Chrysler, Ram and Jeep so thats 4 of 10 you really should mention that!
BMW and Range Rover should be at the top of this list
I have leased three Challengers since 2016 and will lease a 2023 soon. Would never invest in a purchase of one of these. We never mistreat them but know of the future repairs to be expected.
With all honesty, Im surprised that Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW, Jaguar and Land Rover wasn’t on the list. Especially Land Rover
Subaru on this list??
I have a 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth. I'm now dealing with an intermittent coolant leak somewhere. In spite of this, I save money by doing my own maintenance and repairs as much as possible. And I think the car's worth the bother. This thing is so much fun to toss around! 😁
Agree! Except Subaru. But mostly agree
Buy a 210 volvo.
well what do you know, as Scotty Kilmer who is a real mechanic who actually fixes cars rather than reviewing them for money always says, GM and FCA(now Stellantis) junk. Literally all Stellantis brands made this list of shame. it's sad to see that nowadays if you really want a reliable vehicle you're stuck with just 2 brands Toyota and Honda although even they are having reliability issues with some of their models
The worst car I ever bought was a new Dodge. So many things broke on it. Transmission broke after ~2 years. When I started losing power, they said it was because of the spark plugs and wires. Normally a simple change, on that Dodge the whole engine had to be lifted! Stupid f'ing design. Unknown elec problem meant about a dozen battery changes in ~4 years. So many cheaply made parts. The driver side door handle broke off. The passenger side door lock fell in. The A/C temp knob froze. The split interior sunroof cover would fall out of its track constantly. Horrible car.
Obviously the BMWs and Mercedes were excluded from consideration.
Why the subliminal flash of Kilmer at 2:56??
My daughter’s Kia Sorento was 12 years old. Never the first problem . Just regular maintenance. She gave it to her son and he’s still driving it She bought a new Kia Telluride. Kias are very reliable and last a very long time.
Actually, Hyundai and Kia cost the most in every category. Because people steal the entire vehicle 😌
Timing belts, suspension require Maintenace in all cars over 100000MI
We have a 1999 Kia Sportage Soft Top…It's been a great vehicle with 200,000 original miles the only major part we had replaced was a A/C Compressor & Condenser back 8 years ago..
Unless it's a Toyota, Honda or Mazda literally everything is unreliable. There are over infinity car brands out there and only Toyota, Honda and Mazda are reliable. Everything else ur gonna hear something bad about the brand. Honestly Hondas aren't that great tbh.
I worked as a tech at a Toyota dealer for years. And im 100% serious when i say out of 10 vehicles on our used lot, 7 of them were dodges or jeeps. we always had an abundance of jeep liberty's or ram 1500's. Their wiring is super stiff and will just snap after a while, their plastics are super hard and any time you try and do interior work all the clips break no matter how carefully you take it apart, and some of their front end specs are suuuper unsafe. We had the Mitchell program ( probably spelled it wrong ) it was a paid program that dealers use to look up used car specs and they are supposed to be super accurate. we had 3 jeep liberties and 2 of them i inspected, one had 22k on it and the other only 5k, one had 3-4mm of play in 2 of the ball joints and the other 2 mm. I went to Mitchell and it said dodge allows up to 5MM PLAY.. like are you effin kidding me? In toyota land if you have .25 MM play its bad. Chevrolet is 1-1.5 mm and ford i believe is 1.5 aswell. Super unsafe. There is a reason why its called the dodge death wobble. Like there is a reason dodge never changes body styles. the challenger was what like 14 years? and the Hemi sport was the same and they still make the classic. They do things like that to save money. I just cant explain to you how crappy dodges are. My sister has a 2014 Journey and at 22k the door handles broke, 35k the power steering lines went, twice, and at 70 the driveshaft steady bearing went. It now was 120k and needs an entire front end. My moms 12 Rav4 has 160k on it and needs nothing. I drive a work 2017 Grand Caravan and its terrible. The simple answer to the question why are dodges popular? Because they are usually cheaper than the competition ( where i am anyways ) and because they look and feel good when they are new. Put 70k on it and then check the front end.
I only buy Toyota vehicles, but my second choice would be Honda vehicles!!
Everything else simply SUCKS!!!
