I remember watching that video and reading those comments. Looking at how bad that roof was rotted, you can understand why some people were skeptical. But the proof that you knew exactly what you were doing is seeing how it looks today. You nailed it and it's fixed permanently.
Happy Birthday.
It’s like a if you only have the choice option but if going down to bare metal and cutting out the cancer why not just weld a patch for a permanent strong long lasting repair
I wish you where in jacksonville florida. Id defintly pay you to work on my rusted roof
I am a self-taught backyard wannabe, I just work on my own vehicles trying many of the tips you offer in your videos. I am running into a problem with the back fender wheel arches on my truck, I cut out the rust sanded scraped wire, and brushed the bad spots and rust pits. I have tried the white vinegar, those rusts restore products POR 15 etc… I used the epoxy resin and fiber mats and the long strand filler and I prime with self-etching primer and then sandable primer, and paint. Unfortunately weeks after the job the patch seems to rise up and bubble in a few places, I make sure everything is dry before paint and look for any moisture in the fender before patching. Can you offer a suggestion as to what I am doing wrong? Thanks.
gd job but to be definitively efficient against rust – Curative and preventive – , you should put grease everywhere. grease is the only thing very efficient against rust. put grease between metal and carpet, inside door, behind metallic bumper, under the vehicle, behind the repairs you can make (everywhere inside the body – hidden erea – instead of using paint), hollow areas (necessarily hidden, so no need to be aesthetic). For rear wings unreachable with a paintbrush, use an extender and pour old oil everywhere each year. Rust almost always comes from the inside and welds. Handyman Experience – 35 years. From france
It looks like it worked to me. I think you did good, looks good.
Fiber glass is good shit when done correctly and you obviously know correctly
Using a rust prohibiter like POR15 and on the inside will stop rust in its tracks.
after 5 years, no repair leak or crack?
I just bought an old 71 Dodge. former boogie van that's showing its age with a lot of rust. I am planning on doing body work for the first time with fiberglass. This is the best video I've seen yet. No nonsense, no blah, blah, blah, just straight usefulness. Subscribed.
Just the video I needed. I got a CRV Gen 1 and this model is notorious for having rusted roofs. Thank you.
Shit man where you located 🫡
wow nice
What’s the difference between short strand fiberglass vs bondo
This stuff is so good, I just spray it on my feet and never need to buy shoes again 😅🤣
Why do all the comments look like those reviews you see on Facebook 😅
Looks great apart from the oversized wheels and skinny tyres, but this car is now a death trap 😅
It's never wise to hide structural damage like this. Anyone doing repairs like this should be held accountable if the car is involved in a accident!
Great Job.
Bro haters goin to hate! You are doing awesome! Keep it up
Damn bro you could have fooled me I’m like okay this guys a professional I appreciate you very much for this video DIY on point them other nerds doubting you clearly was hatin and they should you GOT DOWN 🔥🔥🔥
If there is more than one way to skin a cat was a person. Your videos have definitely helped and inspired me to try to do it myself. I watched the sunroof video about 50 times. People laughed and thought I was crazy but here we are. 1969 Buick Electra with a Mini Cooper Sunroof that looks 100% legit. It took some time for the body work I ain’t gonna lie. You made it look easy lol.
I have a 72 Lincoln Continental and it has the old vinyl top and this is exactly what I'm thinking about doing appreciate that bro it'll be my first time doing a fiberglass patch
