People like my wife who lives in pain and on pain meds. Says that
Heated seats or a heating pad helps relieving partially the pain while she’s ridding/driving in a auto. So Kevin, while I respect your knowledge about the Ottoman of the street I think you should read my post and understand where my wife is coming from. Thank you still for all your info.
I always thought seat warmers were silly…until I recently got a new car with them 🤔 Ummm, they are amazing for bad backs, or just cold mornings.
I gotta laugh at this scam going on for 3 years now. This was all orchestrated along with Covid to run inflation high cause this economy is a sham. The debt based model is failing quickly worldwide. Buckle up……….gonna get a lot worse.
Excellent information THG Team! 😊😊👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the update…
I'd read that the shortage of chips had been affecting the automotive industry, but had hoped that they would be caught up by now. They certainly didn't predict the market…
Your podcasts are so insightful, and are entertaining as well.
Thanks!

Maybe they should just engineer chips out of these vehicles. We don't need all these bells and whistles anyway
Just ride a bike! Eat your bugs and share you Pod!
The "chip shortage" is one way to change the car selling/buying business. More profit when selling a car a 5k+ over the MSRP to the not so bright. Only dealers are benefiting. Dealears that don't have any cars to sell will find ways to take your money in creative ways. Get ready for your older cars to have serious problems when taking in for a service.
The chip shortage isn't real. Tsmc said last year that there is no shortage and that the issue lies in chip hoarding.
I message you for the free caps but never even got a response. I would have loved at least a go away we do not have any. Won't stop me from following you guys as I am a ride-or-die from day one. But I heard you say you would respond if contacted. Well, can't win them all.
Happy you are both in good health.
This is all because of Democrats!!!!!
Excess used cars on the market will drive down used car and new car prices.
Higher interest rates will prove to be a drag on vehicle sales. With high vehicle prices and increasing customer reluctance to purchase, the dealers may find themselves with a great deal of unsold stock on the lots.
Do you think that anyone in the American auto industry could build a car without the chip like the good old days?
You two are great love your videos keep it going.
Also question I have not been in the car business for 20 years I did F&I and GSM and was top in my game I want to get back in the business I don't want to start out as a Salesman and go through that. Any suggestions or any courses classes that can give me credentials to move into management?
Who really gives a damn whether or not cars are being made. They are ridiculously expensive anyway, and so long as the wheels go around on my old jalopy, I can wait another couple of years. The issue is more about greedy profits than anything else.
We're facing all sorts of contrived shortgages, inflation and just a general economic mess …. no way I'm going to take out what is essentially a mortgage to buy new and shiny.
Dealers can choke on inventory as far as I'm concerned.
Is all on purpose. Everyone knows Americans are fools who would pay way above MSRP because they buy "wants" rather than "needs", so maybe the economy is not that bad. I mean, those of us who are either smart buyers and have average salary knows best not to buy rigth if not necessarily. But now people are doing 84 month loans, are upside down KS just a mess. Manufacturers now don't have to build that many vehicles while still making the same profits or more. I can see Toyota only making100 Corollas and selling them for a million dollars and they will sell. Ok, a bit extrem, but ya'll know the point.
By the way, Manufacturers can build vehicles with less chips, heated seats and steering whee is not a Government mandate, so does adaptive cruise control, lane keep assit, power seats, big screens, memory seats.
Only ABS, traction control, tire pressure monitoring and front airbags and back up camera.
Toyota safety sense is not required by law and yet they raised their prices back when they made it standard. I say get rid of it in base models and let the peole who are too dumb to drive pay the premium if they want it so bad.
TY but way too many commercial 40% ,,,,,,WOW 1st class incredible very interesting super kool ,1st class great info.,, AAAAAAAAAAA++++++++++++ again great video I liked it a lot ,keep up the great work
If cars went behind PCs then why did PCs also go up? You cant eben get i9 chips.
The theory that I heard is that automobile computer chips are the lowest profit margin chips out of all the chips a chip manufacturer could possibly make.
It sounds reasonable to me that this fact would put automobile computer chips at the bottom of the priority list.
They want to keep prices high, auto makers learned a lot about keeping prices high over the past two years! 😆
And Tesla is taking advantage of it as California the largest car market is leading the way.
Oh boy.
I like your videos… but this xcaps crap man…come on…
I recently bought a new buick and it listed the chips that will be installed at a later date.
I recently went to a local car dealer because I received a message that they would buy my Ford pickup outright. When I went there as they were checking out my vehicle the sunroof mysteriously jammed. They told me that they would gladly buy my truck for what I wanted, but that they repair on the sunroof would cost them $ 2500 to repair, so they offered me $ 3000 less than we had agreed that it was worth. I left and on the way home unjammed the sunroof which had worked every time I had used it prior to going to the dealer and it now works perfect again. Two weeks later the car salesman called me and asked if I still wanted to sell the truck. I responded that I did and the price was the same. I explained that the sunroof was " repaired." He said bring it on down and we will make a deal. After another hour of bullshit, his manager told him that they could not give me what I wanted, and I thought we had agreed upon because the market had " turned." Once again i left and on my way out looked at some of the new trucks they were selling. All had significant additional dealer markups. I guess the market had only "turned"on vehicles that they were buying not selling. They seemed to have an adequate supply of new Ford trucks that were priced from $70,000 to $ 100,000. With the recession that we are in I am amazed that there are still enough people who can afford these vehicles. While I am fortunate enough to be able to pay these prices, I would never be stupid enough to spend that much on an asset that will ultimately depreciate. No matter what, I will never do business with the scammers at this dealership again.
This is all a scam to keep demand and prices high. The United States geared up and produced the weapons that won WWII in record time! Yet here we are going into year three and their still crying chip shortage. So I guess it takes more effort and resources to make chips than Ship,Tanks,Airplanes,Submarines, small arms and all the Fuel and Amunition for them and recruit and supply all the military personnel. What a scam this is.
The Chinese are coming to put an end to this. Just watch. Vietnamese too. Don't rule out India also. When there are no bucks to be found, the hunt for the low buck resumes.
We could make cars… WITHOUT… chips… 🤔… or even better… make cars CONSUMERS want; instead of what insurance companies want for us…
The "Chip Shortage" WAS once a problem …. But, Let's ALL be honest and THINK about the situation in late 2022 … But then the entire manufacturing industry found that they could RAISE PROFFITS by "holding back inventory of most ANY goods using "Chips", and ran with it, as they' experienced RECORD PROFITS in most areas …. GREE took over, and NOW it's a "If YOU WANT IT, YOU WILL PAY dearly" for IT world …. So "bend over folks", because THIS "GREED" attitude WON'T be going away anytime soon …… SADLY !!!!!!!
Possible video idea. Maybe do spark plug test on your the homework guy truck after the ex-cap to see how spark plugs are holding up
What are Non Tax Fees?
Great the consumer gets screwed again! Nice.
Auto makers claim supply and demand. Well, you keep your supply. I'LL CONTINUE TO DEMAND LOWER PRICES! Some can buy a starter home for what you charge.
please do an entire segment on which automakers and specific models are back to full production.
The big problem is the people willing to pay whatever the dealers want
Fake shortage
Vote red on Tuesday & things will turn around for the better!!!
Somewhere an auto engineer was given the assignment of de-computing a particular make/model to see how much could be done with old-style components. He or she is currently in a bar drinking like the sun won't be coming up tomorrow scared to think of things like speedometer cables and analog gauges on the dashboard…
Trucker's Crumbs?? I thought that was something they ordered from the truckstop restaurant!
(okay, okay, I'll see myself out before I get roughed up).
I don't believe there is a chip shortage.
Why, a false shortage makes for huge Markups.
Notice a few European manufacturers have reported no shortages. Only the US & a few others that are reporting huge profits.
😅🤣
I have been holding out buying a car for 5 years & refuse to feed the greedy dealers.
Yeah, I see the shortage going out to 2025.
🤣😅🤣😅🤣
I hope all the ford, Ram and GM go out of business. They produce some real junk.
Look at a truck optioned out as it would be in the 1980's and use this as a design guide. Build us a vehicle with power steering, power windows, AC and drop the GPS, Touchscreen Smart Radio, heated/cooled seats, electronic compass and individual zoned temps zones. Skip all the electronics which require additional chips and drop the price to reflect the changes.
Hey Kev- we ordered a ‘22 Ford Maverick on 10/29/2021. According to the dealer, they’ve ceased production of the 2022’s and now we’re in line for a 2023. What’s really going on?
That's why I bought Hyundai and Kia… They don't seem to have a chip shortage?
With the war on fossil fuels, is any of this surprising?
