Never mind Ryan. Announcing this weekend when it's the online auction that took 10 days and that was the last half of last month. And bye-bye's house because it should be up for tax sale from a nearly $3,000 behind in taxes from 18 and 2019. I researched it because it sounded like an online auction I had heard about. And had a bunch of rusty cars. I'm pretty sure it was this auction. Look like he got behind this real estate taxes too.
Way KOOL stuff – yes like you said a LOT of hard to find items . Really surprised there wasn't any 58 Chev's Back in the day many yards crushed them out. Couldn't sell too much off them, no one was interested in them. Today everyone wants a 58 Chev. IMPALA. I have 3 58 Chev's One, a yeoman 2dr. wagon – less than 15,000 made – how many survived ???
Junk
Good Vid, lots of good parts !
Good score !
Wow, i would talk to a bank, get a loan, beg , borrow… Because you are probably not going to see that much 59' material again. Buy it when you see it. Prob never get the opportunity to obtain some of this again.
Chevrolet did come with bucket seats in '61. I have only seen bucket seats in the impala SS cars. The SS cars didn't have a center console until '62. First year of bucket seats that had the head rests were 1969 I believe. A good way of telling the early bucket seats to the later one's were the backs. Early buckets had the steel backing and the newer ones were plastic.
The seat frame you were unsure about is a 59/60 sport coupe rear seat frame. I looked at the picture of it on the auction and it has the cut out for the rear speaker. Plus, I just stripped the rear seat from my '59 sport coupe and they look identical from what I can see.
I ended up buying quite a bit of impala parts. Some stuff I am unsure on, but I now have another set of sport coupe impala trim.
Lots of good stuff. Wish I had it all. Good video and how much did the 61 black car bring? New a guy back about 64 that had red on red as 61 conv. With buckets.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey look, Ryan got thrown into a yard of finned Chevys ! Now he won't leave that space for sure 😉
Six cylinder in an Impala Sport Sedan is kind of cute 🙂
3:45 – OMG, Gothic Gold ! Didn't know they added that paint divider on the start of the fin, thought they just started second color diagonally by the masking tape or something. Also didn't know the stripes for '59 lights are separate pieces, thought they did a whole oval with dividers that went under the regular taillight frame for the sake of sturdiness. Thanks for showing it.
And that gallery of engines !
Good luck with the auction !
