If govt really needs India to go electric, the answer is clearly modern & affordable EVs, emphasis on modern cuz making an affordable EV is not a big deal but one that needn't be driven like a tortoise to get a decent range and one that doesn't require a decade to charge makes a whole lot of difference. Add to that an EV with modern interior and connected tech and Tata seem to have yet another winner here. NexonEV was the one who made most of the current EV owners to go electric in the first place because it's a bang for buck package and more. You got all good bits and benefits of an EV at 75% (or less may be) of the most affordable EV in India. No wonder it sold like hot cakes (for an EV).
Though TigorEV never really took off as well as its elder brother, it could be down to it's styling in general and also the fact the sub 4M sedan segment isn't in the best of health lately. Hatches are always good practical runabout and in crowded cities that we have, they make perfect sense. Not only can TiagoEV be a first/primary car for many, it could potentially replace the ICE hatch in the family for city runabouts, a range of 150 should be good enough at least for a couple of days inside the city or a week in most cases. Of course it can do highways runs too but we'll need a proper charging infra for that and that's clearly not happening anytime soon. But for everything else it seems good.
When you test it, could you do it with 4 people on board? something unique or rather practical usage test (weight makes a difference in range no?) since it would most likely be a family hatch.
Untill we master Drive Train and Battery (and a good reliable source of raw materials at cheaper import cost) , EV will be a bit of expensive for what they offer…. Let us see how it will all go in coming years!
Let more competition comes in and let the charging infrastructure grow to get confidence for customers with even less range..then electric vehicle market will get boom…but then, government may hike the electrity charges to an extend where the margin would be less between EVs and ICE cars
Olá traz para o Brazil
An Ignis EV would be amazing!… (not the conversion kit lol)
Variants?
The Ichiban reference!!! 🤣🤣
Nice
whn u guys are coming with full review???
You made the car look even smaller
जाडिया भाई 👌👌👌👌
Another converted crap which makes sense because well, it’s electric. Sigh. Anyway, love to see Tata bringing more and more electric cars. ♥️Eagerly waiting for their pure electric cars.🤞
It’s possible to import in Canada
In this is price and kilometre it very impressive . We not any thing just get rid of oil era
What will be the battery watt??
Please bring to Australia 🦘
Why we need to have drive mode nob at conventional gear box place? Why same can't be given along with steering or somewhere side of steering. This space can be utilised in more better way and will not be in reach of co passenger or child.
When will it drive review come ????
Please mention the range with AIR CONDITIONER ON. AC is a basic requirement of a car and it consumes a lot of power.
When drive review will be available?
Cruise is not a luxury feature on EVs, it is mandatory to get good range from an electric car.
Tata Motors should have provided Cruise Control on all models, especially XT. I can understand skipping cruise only on the XE variant for having one model at minimum price. Tata Motors learnt this the hard way and added cruise control to old nexon EVs via a software update. After doing so, they should not have made the mistake of missing cruise from both XT models.
Sir when will Tata Tiago ev on road review will be available on your channel? It would be helpful if you could please tell as we can plan accordingly to buy or not to buy
