In MN progressive quotes me 940 for the year so 82ish a month for a 2023 M3. Tesla for the first 2 months charged me 90 dollars a month with the assumption of a 90 safety score. I currently have a 98 safety score and my projected 3rd month is 65 dollars so 780 for the year. Its a solid savings although there is no gaming Tesla insurance so if my driving habits change or I drive more miles than what I told Tesla my premium will adjust accordingly. Where as progressive takes the info I gave them at face value and never validates it
The rate they quoted me with the same level of coverage I currently have with Liberty Mutual is $80/month cheaper. There's just something creepy about my driving habits being monitored and critiqued like Big Brother. I don't brake hard and don't tailgate but I do exceed speed limits on occasion and like to floor it sometimes. I'm sure that would raise my rates.🎉

It's a scam. I keep getting these false frontal collision alert and my premium went from $200…$285…$325. It's kinda creepy that Tesla monitor how you should drive and punish you for it even if it's AI fault.

Thanks for the review I’m in the process of getting a Tesla and usaa wanted to charge me $486/month….read about Tesla insurance and the driver score thing got me worried but anything is better than $486 lol, Tesla quoted me $178….i have one accident on my record (my knee nudged my gear selector into drive while I was in a car wash n bumped the car in front of me) other than that 20 years clean driving. Make it make sense.
