In Europe you can drive the sedan turbo manual transmission
Try to import a Škoda 120
That would look awesome if it were lowered an inch and had some BBS rims
This car is a legend in north Africa ! Reliable and dependable. You could sell a nice exemple today for tens of thousands of dollars ! back when Peugeot did good engineering
its sucks thats why is stops in usa
That was a funny review! Thanks!
The seatbelt attached to the door wasn't a "neat idea", it was simply the cheapest way to comply with passive restraint laws that came into effect in 1990 in the USA. The idea was you were supposed to leave the belt attached to the door and slide underneath, serving as the laziest possible form of an automatic shoulder belt system. You weren't actually supposed to attach it manually every time even though that's what most people ended up doing. You'll see this same thing in early 90s Volkswagens, GM cars, and base model Hondas such as the Civic hatchback. Since this was such an obviously lazy and difficult system to actually use most companies opted to use motorized belts in this time period, or simply install a driver's airbag which satisfied the requirement for a passive restraint system.
I rode in an early seventies model 504 several times years ago in the mid seventies and my most memorable thoughts and impressions were the amazing room in the rear seat where I rode. I also thought I'd never riden in a more controlled and quite a smooth composier over bumps and rough road. I like Fiats which rode quite well back in the day but the French have the best ride, I think. Peace
DOUG Christ, PEUGEOT is NOT PRONOUNCED like you say it P-U geot (with U like in Un, Undoing Under) CORRECTLY it is P-E ugeot wit E like in Enter Eye SO pEugeot – Peugeot.
I JUST COULDN'T BEAR IT and watch this video and I usually love your clips.
Wow all the US versions of the cars look so much better that even this crappy thing looks way more serious than its plastic bumpery european counterpart i'm used to
Believe it or not they're as good as Toyotas, very reliable
Comparing the 505 to other cars produced in the late 80s or early 90s is wrong. In the early 90s, the 505 was a really old design (it was launched in 1979), and its replacement, the 605 was already out (1989).
It's not pronounced Poogeot bug Peugeot like purple 🟣
It s wrong sorry. The last is 405
Paul Brauq designed dashboard. I had a 1986 Peugeot 505s.
The double latch setting of the seatbelt is an american version special feature. The standard European / worldwide version had a three point seatbelt attached to the B pillar
Poo-joe? How is that even possible to pronounce Peugeot this way?
Man, you are an aho l e.
your ignorance makes you comical tho
They should bring DS to the US
"Poo-joe"
I love how Doug pronounces it POOgeot.
A lot of people from Argentina are replying…I wasn’t even aware that Peugeot was popular like that there.
