Ask him what his MPG is now? I'm getting 18 to 19 mixed. Also give the drag test another again using tow haul mode.
Fugly
Naturally aspirated engines are the best for reliability
I can't stand Turbo's. They always fail and yap lots of $$$$$ to replace. So im good ya'll can keep them..
i get 24 mpg
Needs the v8 if we didn’t get the Tacoma for gas prices last year when there was a shortage of these vehicles we would of got the v8 tundra with the body style wife liked .
Is this the hybrid? That one is supposed to get 24mpg
That 4wd button sucks. Looks so cheap.
Scotty great review, would love to see what you think of the titan.
What we needed was the same V8 engine or the V8 Diesel they have in some markets. We also wanted a retro revival…bring back the 80 and 100 series with their respective diesel options.
Your loyal customer clientele does not care for a whole new truck. We would have been fine with Modernizing and overhauling what already works. Maybe a new body and new interiors with new electronics but keep the SAME guts that we already know works fine. Why risk so much for an unproven gas V6 engine with Turbos on it…? horrible choice toyota… horrible.
The V6 is noisier than the V8? Thats no small statement because everyone I seem to talk to seems to agree that the 3UR is one of the noisiest, clickety clatty engines ever
Scott my 2022 chevy Colorado v6 is getting 14-13:5 MPG city I would much rather have the big truck with the better mpg and the turbo lol
Getting 18 in town
Those things are butt ugly. Darth Vader must have done the styling.
redline is "normal driving" lol silly ol man
Toyota needs to bring back the v8 option
Im buying it🤷♂️
Thought it made 437hp at the crank? Seen one dyno’d stock 320rwhp
Same. Prefer v8 engine than 2 turbos engine
I just got back from the grocery store. In the parking lot, was a new twin turbo Tundra. After I got home, I just wanted to hug my 2017 Tundra with a V-8.
Just saw a head turner white full size SUV that was beautiful. It ended up being new Sequoia. I hope the drive train turns up to be reliable so i can get a used one down the road. I'll enjoy my GX460 until then.
Man how much does it suck that they finally fixed the crappy interior and traded it off for a crappy powertrain and madenit ugly?
I just bought a 23 Tundra 1794 and love it. Right now I'm getting 19.4 using the Eco mode. I drive 45 miles each way to and from work. A combination of highway driving and FM Roads around 60 mph. I haven't pulled my bass boat yet but expecting the mileage to drop 4 or 5 mpg when I do.
Scotty I need your help!!! I’m retired and in Clarksville
it's hideous.
Did that have only 500 miles on it? I got my tundra in 07 it was like that until the engine was broken in. Advertised as 18 MPG, after bring broken in, it went from about 14 to 24.
This guy is a v8 drone
10 mpg on the tundra , give me a break lol
When it comes to full size pickups, a V8 should be the only option.
toyotas are now 20k less than Ford junk
Sorry dude. I love mine
Just had one for a rental for a week. ..don't like it at all. Too many buttons and gadgets.
OK guys keep your old tundra and also keep your forts and whatever else you have that’s eight cylinder and has excellent miles per gallon of five or six. I really have enjoyed this car so far it has 46,000 miles and it’s running wonderfully. What he is feeling to realize is the simplicity of the belt. Everything is still done in a way that will last and is robust. What they also did is they took the old tundra part and made multiple parts even better including the bed. I am not concerned about the engine at all. I actually love it it has more power and I am getting consistently 20 miles per gallon and when I tow my rv I get 11. So I am completely happy and I am confident that it will last at least 350,000 miles. The old tundra average was 200,000 miles the 1 million is exceedingly rare. Just keep that in mind.
If toyota wants to go the 6 cylinder turbo route, why not use an inline 6?
