Tesla is a unique position: push cars faster out of the factory and risk quality control or have better quality control, slower flow out of factory, but not having cars come back for service so soon after delivery.

There is nothing to stop Redwood from becoming a battery factory in addition to producing materials. That could be a long term goal. Doesn't even have to be for automotive application maybe just power storage.
Love the Tesla products but it seems like they never make any major exterior changes. Most manufactures change the looks of their models every 3 years or so. Tesla's do have great tech but there styling in my opinion can be very stale. love the show…

My favorite colors from Tesla? NONE. When I bought my Tesla P85D way back in late 2014, I bought it white, and then after finding a reliable paint shop, I changed it to Salmon Red, changed the front a little bit- I did not like the "Lord Voldemort" appearance of it-by adding a metal grille from Buick, and there it is, at my own taste. Regarding the service, yes, I experienced some of the problems many Tesla owners reported, but many of them were for me finish flaws due to be a new kid in the block making cars, so I tried, and fixed many of them myself with the help of some friends and never had to visit the Tesla service for those minor things. Now, the big problems I had like the performance of the battery at about 35-40k miles, that was addressed by Tesla at no cost for me whatsoever, and very fast response. Now, with more than 210k miles, the car is working very good, I am not a speed demon, actually I drive 2-6 miles below the speed limit in both city and hwy, and find no problem with the range. I am just waiting for the Cybertruck, hoping Tesla will trade in my well care Tesla, that by the way, is now Fluorescent Metallic Green. Yeah, I do not like those ugly conservative colors from Tesla, and planning to see how to change the interior color to match the outside…….
Relating to new battery tech, if someone gets the battery replaced in a Tesla do they replace it with the current battery tech available or replace it with the battery tech used for that model? I’d hope that it would be newer tech
