We have a '21 and I agree with almost all he said. The interior shows costcutting in my opinion. The tray he showed stuff flying off of is a prime example; the lower tray has the rubber mat to prevent stuff moving, but the upper one – which you use more – does not. My wife rigged a fabric to cover this area (looks like shit but is effective). Why didn't Toyota put a rubberized base here? Wish the seats were ventilated (we have an XSE), like in upper end model. Ventilated seats would solve his complaint of sweating. Personally, I don't find this a problem. Fuel economy is fabulous, room is great. I also looked at every mainstream SUV and could not find one that would allow us to put electric mountain bikes in back standing up. Well, you can pull the 2nd row seats out (youtube it), and we did so on the driver's side. Bikes go right in the side and are tied in place standing up. Removal of that seat opens up a lot of space. Ours is FWD, when they fix the shitty nav screen we will upgrade to a new AWD.
Great review! a couple of good criticisms about the buzzers, hot seats and slow doors. The buzzer goes off constantly, making it useless! When I get out of the vehicle and am in the process of closing the door, it's buzzing, making you bend over to look in at the dash to see what the problem is. Do they think you are that stupid that you don't know the door is in your hand! Not understanding why any reviewer would give any opinion on styling of the vehicle, it is something that you don't need to drive or own the vehicle to decide for yourself, not helpful! As an owner I think this is an honest review!
Your opinion on design is irrelevant and btw looks much better then any other minivan
I love how you transfer overnight from a sports car driver to a family guy who has 5 kids on his neck 😀
https://youtu.be/7W6YE67ES9M?t=675 had me rolling
TOYOTA SHOULD MAKE A PLUG IN HYBRID SIENNA. GOOD VIDEO.
Love it , it is car , not like in Europe , many crossover cars…
Why tOYota does not have a more adjustable front passenger seat is total BS…
My old daily driver sienna has 350,000 miles and still going.
Looks like a well thought out, balanced design.
11:15 typical male mini van driver.
I build these.
My goodness the ride height is just terrible.
It won't be good in snow, the front risks damage from kerbs etc.
What was toyota thinking?
Toyota figured out a vehicle is a living space, not just something that will carry you from point a to point b.
Expensive.
Make a Sienna Prime plug-in.
My husband and I just got the 2022 XLE and we love it so far! We have the red and we get so many positive comments on it. I am having twins in 5 days and we cannot wait to see how this does as a family car.
Are you in northern Illinois by any chance? I feel like I know these roads!
I'm getting one instead of a suv. Thames for the review always love the get to the point approach and humor lol thanks
11:16. Woah, showed us your snappy side
This van is being sold used for $15,000 over manufacture’s recommended retail price. Way too expensive, at least here in Canada.
No power at all for passing and noisy. The 4 cylinder is way too underpowered and noisy.
It does everything you could want, except pretend something it's not. And it's a Toyota. I rode in one of these and I enjoyed it. Comfortable and quiet. I would love to cruise the country with some friends and the hybrid would be all we need. Screw the V6. I am not trusting a Pacifica. But this Sienna? Absolutely. This IS the ONE!
If people are too vain to drive a minivan, let them dick around with their SUVs. This is the ticket, if you need real utility.
Good job with video.
When i was single in the mid 30s I had two cars and they were AWD Sienna and PRHT Miata.
0:30 So true. Whenever I see one driving around, it always looks like they tried to make the Sienna look like a "Supra MK5 SUV"
This is just the most Excellent Review on the Sienna. I agree with everything you said and I learned a lot too! I like that it wasn't just spitting out facts
which is not reviewing imoit was about everything you consider!!Do the center captain chairs not come out???
bad design….
We own an 07 with almost 200k miles. Still gets 25mpg, and hauls 7 of us around without issue. Everything still works, even the radar cruise control. My wife’s beat the poo out of it over the years…I’d love the hybrid, but have the middle seats out occasionally, and have towed way more than the rating…and it’s not terrible off road. Made it through Gemini Bridges Road in Moab w/o getting stuck. Much to the chagrin of all the jeepers and crawlers out there.
Yes! An actual minivan review. Too many reviews focus on horsepower and all the things I don’t care about. 100% spot on RE: the ACTUAL target audience for this vehicle.
This monstrosity gets great MPG
UGLY- Don't Ever Buy UGLY !
My words exactly…if “ if Lexus made an suv then I’d buy one “. Instead I drive my kids to school and around town in a LS500.
We need Lexus to make their own Minivan. 🤣
