hi AMD, you said hybrid models have a different pistons, what are the differences in pistons ? i can understand the camshafts are different due to having atkinson cycle, but pistons ?
Aww, thank you for adding that last part. May the Lord bless you as well!
Spot on Brother! Basic is the BEST! And always will be!
TOO early to tell on these cars
I can't comment about the factory supplied rear view camera…
I replaced the factory supplied auto-dimming rear view mirror on my RAV4 Hybrid with an after market "mirror" with inbuilt dashcams front & rear.
I'm not sure what the factory supplied version works like but I can say that this is easily one of the features that makes driving a real pleasure.
It:
– turns a poor rear cone of vision into 120 deg crystal clear field of view
– provides enhanced night vision
– no more looking thru passengers' heads
– aids reversing out of angled spaces
– and it records front & back
The only thing that I don't like is that it makes objects seem further away than they are. It's really important to keep this in mind when pulling into traffic or changing lanes etc.
Otherwise, I fully agree with what you're saying. I simply love driving the RAV4!
One downside of the RAV is that it is indeed a crossover meaning that it is an SUV body on a car chassis (as opposed to the next model up which is an SUV body on a truck chassis). The difference of course is that crossovers have limited towing capacity… light trailers etc but no full on caravans.
Of course, limited towing capacity is a common limitation of battery and battery enhanced vehicles. However, teardrop trailers and specially designed light caravans are hitting the market now… probably be another 10 years before they get to NZ but at least they're coming, I guess.
This has to be the absolute best vehicle review video I have ever seen.
Makes me feel better owning a ‘22 XSE. Thanks for the review!
We have the 2021 toyota rav4 hybrid xle
I took your advice , it didn't move me so I ordered a Lexus NX350H instead of a R4 Ltd
Bet repairs won't be cheap !
The rear view camera is incredibly useful. Here’s why. As a percussionist I regularly have to haul a lot of gear, and it almost always blocks the sight line for the rear view mirror. Anyone in a similar situation with cargo would welcome this feature.
Looks like a disaster for long term reliability especially in cold climates where salt is used on winter roads.
What does MGR stand for?
Best review I’ve run across. Thank you!
Can you make specific vedio for extended warranty . What's its pros and cons.
Too many models on the front, and the grille will get dirty with dust, will bother when cleaning it after the rain, it's better to keep it simple, everything simple will look elegant and beautiful, like RAV4 I have in 2011 model, although I don't like that the spare tire is on the outside but the 2011 RAV 4 model looks beautiful and elegant..!!
The lattice is too much so it looks like a bird's nest 🪺 🪹 also why the outside tires have a black plaster is look ugly for me 🫢 and the back also have black plaster looks like layer cake’s 😛😛
My RAV4 colour is Graphyte, Iove it and I like the size, as the new RAV 4 is too long especially for people not taller like me and female 😮
there is no need for a place to put bottles in the back door, this is a car not a house, and the sunroof doesn't need to be too long all the way to the back, just the front
this car is too much because there are too many things inside interior and outside is make this car looks ugly not in high class
I love to change my RAV4 but when I try the new RAV4 the body is too long for me and the model too much and too many black plaster 😛😛
Can Toyota make new RAV4 more elegance not too much accessories and black plaster in next generation, I will waiting or hire me for the designer 😃😃🫢🫢
thanks
You are recommending the oil change to 5000 miles (8000 Km) but Toyota recommend as per Manual and also as per dealer/maintenance shop to 10000 miles (16000 km). What is your comment on that???
Good review. Not a salesman review. Just a good neighbor.
I'm going to see if I can have the touch screen removed… why does anyone want one of those while driving ?
Outstanding reminder … this IS the time to buy if this is what you are looking for!
