Case of "Drinking the Meta-Kool-Aid". Remember "Second Life"? Thank you so much for this video. Best launch video of recent time for me: Range Rover https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBQlKwZnIFA
So let me get this straight. You think this launch video was ridiculous and catered to a "tuny winy group of people". So you spend hours on hours creating a whole video to fully explain that advertising launch… in a truly winy, winy fashion. So now, not only have you provided the company even more publicity (in fact, in watching your video I have now consumed even more advertising on this car than I received from Hyundai itself.), but you have also put a bad taste in my mouth about your channel. What is the point of TE if you spend this much effort to trash an advertising campaign? Shouldn't you spend more time talking about the Evolution of Transportation???
Does it work yes or no, can it recharge quickly and will it cleanup well after a bunch of little kid and pets in it! That are my priorities!
Generation Rent will live in their luxurious apartment/sedan apparently 🙄
Marketing BS always has this effect on me – 🤮👎.
PR Makreting Firms + Latest Tech Trends and Buzzwords is always a disaster. The sad part is they never learn to avoid to that formula and keep thinking it's a viable idea. Add on the total cultural ignorance to even draw up a realistic scenario. What use to age poorly now is embarrassing on day one.
Delusional boomers that are in corporate America love claiming things about millennials like “they don’t care about money” and “they want to live in their cars” in order to make themselves feel better about underpaying them.
Nice reporting on a topic I have little interest in. Happy with my Tesla. 😉
Advertisers have not gotten the message that millenials and younger are sick and tired of advertising and are actually paying for services specifically to AVOID advertising.
Hyundai is doing very well in the EV, space, and the Ioniq 5 and 6 will also likely do well. Advertisements come and go. I think a good product will ultimately succeed based on its merits.
I can't be the only one who's fallen asleep in their car 😃
OMG…so funny….It's a strength to be able to admit…."I….I just cant"…Outstanding.
Why do we care for advertisement at all? 99% of it is BS anyway. Wasted money the consumer has to pay for. If the product is worth its price, people will buy it. Simple as that. Dozens of Youtubers will do a much better job in advertising anyway, all the car manufacturers have to do is to provide test cars. Much cheaper than hiring expensive PR staff delivering weird movies.
So what you are saying is that this manufacturer failed to release information just too much advert bullshit they focused on three people yet alienating thousands. How much wasted money in promoting this vehicle in such a misguided manner so I’m hoping that this mismanagement of funds will not have to be recouped expensive car costs I love the use of recycled products but at what cost to the customer at what cost to the planet
Iconic 6 does just only user 300 Km distance. I don't like the add at all. Its about, 47000 here in Australia I think.
Maybe they are living in their cars because they are a crap fashion(trashion) designer, metaverse programmer, and influencer? That was like a perfume ad for a car.
I had to wonder if there was a cultural disconnect on top of everything else. The way it was written sounded to me like it was translated to English rather than written in English. I don’t think the three characters would have much appeal to the target audience and the animation at the end made it seem like they were trying to sell the car to 8 year olds. I suspect Hyundai would be better off outsourcing this to an advertising agency in the West. Hand this over to Don Draper.
What a waste of $, as mentioned please stick to basics; Price-Range-Charge Time.
Huh?
Admen are madmen.
I like the overall design – mostly because it is a real attempt to have a low aero drag car, that should get more real range from a given battery pack. This is THE reason that I would consider buying it.
The thing that will probably keep me from buying it – is the sedan/saloon trunk.
The VW ID.Aero is not quite as low drag (Cd of 0.23 vs 0.21) – but it has a hatch door! And that will definitely have my attention!
Thanks
Apple started all of this dog vomit. The big show with the CEO (who was a total douche) telling everybody their smart phone would transform their lives. Detached, esoteric bile. Now all I see is people driving while looking at their phone or on the subway watching tiktoks…. Smart phone with dumb people using them? Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of great information to be had, but it all seems like navel gazing narcissistic crap for the most part to me.
Now all of the car intros are designers going on endlessly about their design philosophies like it's about to save the world. Spare me. The worst of the bunch is Elon and his Tesla zombies cheering wildly, sorry but what was in that koolaid?
They know they cannot make enough ioniq6 for everyone so they are targeting a narrow group of people
10:10, what on earth is that man wearing? Is he showing off a new car in an apron?
It’s fabulous ! Innovative and modern….
I have an idea of what happened.. story line: Hyundai asked for two different adds one for their home market and one for the rest of the world… they fell sleep on the Metaverse and only made one… now you guess which one they made.
Go to Hyundai's YouTube and post your suggestions to be real with their ads instead of using cartoons.
Oh Nikki your audio needs to match up with with those human videos you played on this video. I'm viewing your video in my bedroom with the door open so we all can share 1 AC with 3 bedrooms. So I don't want to increase the volume to hear your voice then your old car videos are much louder I'd wake everybody up. Oh I can't afford anymore headphones, they're getting to expensive and cluttering up my desk drawer after they stop working.
Falling asleep in your car at home is NOT weird…if you work night shift. I've done it, and so have my coworkers.
I've also had more than one occasion where I've had to pull off the road for 15-20 minutes prior to continuing on the rest of the way home.
Singing is back 🙂
Cringe to this
Generally I do enjoy your videos but ⬆️ is the Worst… 1:56 sec and I had to come out… I just don’t understand why you have up a Great opportunity to talk about a new exciting EV offering by dropping video clips of a TV drama 🎭 I believe Mad Men or similar as I don’t watch the programme… However, if I was interested in watching TV dramas that’s what I would do… Instead I tune into your channel for Quality Motoring journalism and I get TV drama 🎭!
May be you don’t believe the EV space here and now is exciting on its own merits… I take a different view. This has been the only time I have exit with great haste one of your videos… That said I did enjoy and appreciate your earlier video on the F150 Lightning and the Pros and cons of the Ford Home 🏡 charging unit… Not that was what I call Motoring journalism of the highest standards.
Have you seen the electric car adverts in the uk? They're just like regular car adverts.
You're shirt is gay af.
Try eating a cake less a day
The public will only see snippets of this.
This just the artistic junk that they think they have to do.
What is the soundtrack for Mia's part of the advert, please?
Hmmm. Why not tell us how you really feel?
5:20
no ma'am, it is not weird to fall asleep in your car in your garage…
