Did something happen to the FK8 at the time attack race?
Yeah ermmm no thank you! Not a fan, shocking that a car that’s deemed a record breaking track car can’t go on track lol 🤦🏽♀️
Well should I can say I can re between the lines.
I’ll stick with my FK8 for now. Time will tell with the FL5.
Exterior is dull looking
Interior that's too much red
Probably should have gone straight to hybrid or electric and not bothered with this model
The last pretty car was the s2000 they seem to have given up with design
I consider the gr yaris the best chassis platform of any hot hatch having owned both. It is a bespoke motorsport chassis where as the type r is just a civic with extra structural adhesive.
Great video thanks! Could have mentioned weight is unknown or shown increase between models to guess.
Nice video. U know ur stuff ✌️👍🏻
I think I'll stick to my EP3 and fk2. Although I've not been impressed with Honda's service at all with the fk2 which has put me off buying a newer one. They seem to find any excuse NOT to help you. Also in my opinion the fk2 is the most savage looking new Honda's
It looks a little underwhelming. Will have to see one in person but the shape looks like a small SUV on lowered suspension.
That rear wing looks a bit like an aftermarket universal option that someone bought off ebay.
Will all come down to the performance on how it sells I guess.
I seen the brochure yesterday but couldn’t read it. 😂
I’m not a fan of this one. Reminds me of a Kia. I think this model has lost it’s trademark aggressive touch. Too subtle. Thanks Alex
what a clickbait, no numbers no nothing
this slide is the closest thing we got in terms of hard numbers:

I can make up from that it should have around 330hp, wich is about 10 hp more than the current one at 320hp (yes its 320 hp not 306hp for the Type R in its most powerfull form)
I love the appearance! The FK8 is a weapon of a car. But, like every good automotive journalist and driver said, Chris Harris, James from throttle house etc said, it's looks are "controversial" it is a phenomenal preforming car with a hefty 40k price tag but it's looks seem like it would mainly attract 18 year old. Problem with that is, not many 18 year old teens walk around with 40k to blow on a car. I feel like that's what mostly hurt Honda in terms of sales and profit. Many grown gentleman wanted the type R as a daily and track toy and were willing to fork over 40k but just couldn't get past the looks. I personally love it the new one! I think it looks more elegant, refined and still agressive and actually will feel and look like a premium 40k car! I feel like this was and will be the right move by Honda, it will be successful and profitable. Plus i don't think you can compare this to a A45 AMG or a RS3. Those are hyper hot hatches. This is more in the same catagory as it's always been, ford RS, EVO ,STI , Toyota GR , Golf R etc.
Good summary mate. I agree it doesn't look as good as an FK8 but I do like the infotainment upgrade and upgraded sound system. What the rear looks pretty nice. Going to be a beast but will be keeping my fk8 for now.
Great video. Do You Think It Will Be More Upgradable Than The Other Generations Of Type Rs. Also Will R Mode Change Any Thing When On. Aswell I Think That The FL5 Dosent Look As Aggressive As The FK2 And FK8 It Looks Like The 2019 Honda Civic Sedan With A Vent And Extended Spoiler In My Opinion.
I think it looks great! More of a blank slate for customization instead of all the factory mods which causes all the FK8's to look the same.
What is the declared dry kerb weight ?
Remember power figures are always UNDERSTATED. Manufacturers do this because of veriations in fuel and air conditions. True power figures will only be known once the car is released and dyno'd.
