Great review of Q2. What no-one has mentioned – another profitable quarter means Tesla's 'junk' status is now even closer to being upgraded to 'investment grade'. This; when it happens, will force more institutions to buy into Tesla stock.
We will have full self driving FSD this year… for the last 5 years or so. And for the next few years, too.

I appreciate that you do not do financial estimates. No one has enough information to make accurate estimates. I dislike it when people create a spreadsheet and then make those numbers their benchmark for Tesla, such as all the analysis and even otherwise great Tesla reporters like Rob Mauer. Rob is always "disappointed" when Tesla does not meet his numbers. OMG. I hate that. Tesla's employees are working so hard. All of us who own Tesla stock are getting rich off of their efforts. How dare anyone be disappointed in Tesla!

Demand is there for current production levels. Will the demand be there when all the gigafactories are running at full capacity. Plus other manufacturers will be at a level, by then ,to eat into that demand.

3:55 Lonnie is actually confused about this, and many others keep just passing along his confusion. The situations with iron and oxygen are two different things. Iron is most common for the Planet as a whole, including the core. Oxygen is the most common element in the crust. There, several other elements are more common than iron, notably including silicon and aluminum. With his background, he should know better.
Demand problem???
We ordered our M Y LR DM on May 18th 2022. They told us November thru February 2023. Three weeks later, December thru March 2023. So far we're looking at January thru April 2023. Yeah. Demand problem. I think I calculated about 245,000 ahead of ours.

Tesla take their customers for fools. Why would anyone buy a Tesla right now knowing that they will receive an inferior product from Fremont? What do you think the resale value will be for a Fremont car vs Austin car that is quieter, has a better design, and other improvements. This is total bullshit on Tesla's part, once again making customers pay the price for piss poor planning.
All you fantron Tesla mouthpieces do is put positive spins on what would otherwise be sheer and total incompetence. Tesla owes you a big debt of gratitude.

Not surprising Barry Sorkin and most of the CNBC staff are parroting the progressive narrative against Elon. Innovation is an enemy of the progressive left who are hell bent on reining in Tesla. The legacy/union automakers are in deep s–t and they know it. I always look at CNBC with a suspicious view. Sorkin would be a better fit for the NY Times.

The waiting time on a new Tesla is a year. So sure there's a demand problem. Too many customers.
