😂😂😂 So happy I bought my2022 X5. Without this new bullshit. I’ll drive that 5 years then go back to the Acura MDX. They tried this with Apple CarPlay too. They almost lost me on that one.
If they need more money they need to sell more cars. Get rid of the current design department currently designing pignosed cars that don't sell and hire some real designers, look how nice the new Mercedes design language is, same goes for audi and other European manufacturers. BMW seems to be the only one stinking up the place.
and the new car price is going up higher and higher every year.
I never gonna buy a BMW anymore, this is a bul…….
Absolutely ridiculous. However, I can pretty much guarantee that if this becomes a trend among automakers that there will be a few good brands that will reject this micro transaction nonsense.
I've owned 11 BMW's over the years. Last one was a 2008 535XI Touring. It was Lemon Lawed. They lost their way about 2005. Once they took the oil dipstick away, I was out. Were well built cars that lasted and were very good driver's cars. Competition caught up and they couldn't be distinctive enough since. Was never a status symbol to me since very few cars drove like them in the 80's and 90's.
My R1250GS is still an absolute hoot of a motorcycle. Hope they don't F these up too.
Bmw and German makers 😡😡😡🔥🔥🔥
You sound like a woman scorned.
Boycotting is the best retort, particularly by continuity BMW buyers. People who place perceived kudos before personal dignity are like lambs to the slaughter.
I need you to jailbreak my new Beamer …😂
So I got to give BMW credit they're good thieves. They make these parts so they can last but only a certain amount of time knowing that they're going to really make their money not on the lease cars but on the cars that hit the second hand market and worse of all they don't care. Instead of putting r&d into making the cars driving last forever, they put r&d into making the cars last but for a certain amount of time before you hear ,3,2,1, kaboom and then you have up the arse, 🦵 leg and arm bills upon bills upon even more bills after buying that car second hand got to love it
So quit buying them. Problem solved.
Another reason I'm sticking with my 2008 Audi A4 Avant. That thing was made before all this madness was even conceived.
Lots of people run their new cars through their businesses, meaning they can avoid some tax. This is in the UK and I wonder if this is the case elsewhere? However, I would expect used prices to fall, not that the original owner would mind, since he probably bought it on a credit plan and will just swap it for another new one after two or three years. Used car buyers be very aware.
Bmw steelership teamsters!
Just going to buy a horse and carriage and say screw automobiles!!!
I gave up on BMW 4 years ago, never again! After 8 models in a row!
Buy Japanese …
BMW is Dead in my world. Had 750 $140 k. With all bells and whistles, problems all the way. Didn’t care as long as the warranty was there. Once warranty expired that’s it.💥 Air suspension 17k , rear seat ambient light three grand and on and on and on. Does not a hold price drop like that fly. End up selling it for 45 grand with a 10,000 miles. No more ultimate driving machine. Cheap plastic unreliable but very flashy.
Love the channel very informative and honest Thank you
BMW, Audi, VW, Mercedes, eben Toyota, Kia & Hyundaj.., ALL OF THEM do this – you pay for every single fake xtra 🤢🤮
Then, against mt principle, I simply now by Chinese & Indian brands where ALL the so called "optional xtra's" are simply THERE – part of you car 🤣😂
Buying Chinese and Indian is AWESOME these days – like purified air !! You get EVERYTING; stuff thats not even available in the German brands – and all that for a fraction of the "hlaf German car" price !
HOW CRAZY IS THAT ??!!
So now wr avoid these and buy Chinese & Indian ! 🤩😃👍👌💙
Sold my 2012 bmw 128i 60,000 miles for $9000 in 2017. Glad I did it , you have to be super rich to keep your bmw on the road . Everything melt down .
I have a 9 month old X3 and fortunately it is not subject to this madness. I would love to know what executive had this idea and how that meeting went. But we havent seen the fallout from this YET. But dont slag BMW off too much, I had Audis for years and they were far worse. In the UK things havent got this bad yet.
Yep you’re right, the hardware is in there and you’ve paid for it as well
Wow!! Thanks for the update info… A TRUE Blitzkrieg on your wallet! May Their Empire FALL soon..May a lighting Bolt⚡️ hit BMW headquarters from ABOVE..
Love BMW but this is just outrageous. Thanks for the video

Trash brand
dont buy a bmw. that will teach them
I read somewhere Toyota is going to charge people to use keyless entry on models after 2018 now too. Companies need to stop this stuff.
Salesperson: "Sir, that price does not include wheels. We lease our wheels here…hey, come back here! Sir?"
BMW is doing exactly what they should. If you can’t afford the ever-increasing costs of owning one, don’t buy one. Absolutely zero real needs are being deferred or denied by this move. And it’s acting to strengthen their brand by keeping people without disposable income out of the driver seats. BMW means “I have more status than you.” That’s the brand’s only purpose.
You say this change is "Not transparent." I think you mean to say you just don't like it. Trust me when I say their in house legal team will make sure buyers know what is and isn't included.
FWIW this isn't anything new, Tesla operates the same way. There's efficiency in having limited configurations that use a common wiring harness, to the point that it makes economic sense for them to include hardware that some percentage of owners will never use and the company will recoup zero dollars on.
You own literally THE most expensive BMW to repair and maintain, so I imagine there's plenty of salt that ends up on whatever you eat while your car visits your local dealer or indy shop. I have an N54 135i, so I (Sort of) know that feeling. On the plus side, you can vent out on here and get paid for it. Not a bad silver lining most owners don't have.
This latest thing is nothing. You're talking about a company that figured out how to freaking monetize the fact that their cars are (In general) unreliable, and expensive to maintain through their CPO program. People covet that warranty and the piece of mind it gives so badly they'll pay both the premium to buy from an authorized dealer, AND the added cost of the warranty. Think about THAT the next time something like an optional, declineable feature pack bugs you. Besides, things could be worse. You could live in America's 14th largest city that just grew past San Francisco. It has roughly 2.5 million residents in the city proper and metro area, and exactly ONE BMW dealer in the metro, and none within 75 miles in any direction. I use a good local indy, but all of those shops can charge more because our monopoly dealer charges MSRP +20% for parts (And claims that to be typical LOL).
They charge the diagnostic fee you've complained of, but it is applied to any repairs that document suggests that you elect to have done. I expect they would keep the fee if possible, but we have a state statute that requires dealers and repair shops to provide written estimates to customers. We also have an Attorney General who loves to see himself on TV championing his latest consumer protection attack, so that has ended up where the BMW dealer overreaching ultimately ends for us.
Besides, people were trying to figure out how to pull the fuse to shut off the fake engine sounds the MINUTE they started that shit anyway years ago.
Not on board with you on this one. Hope the vid does well regardless.
Cheers! 🍺
BMW's been screwing owners for a while now. They used to go fist deep. Now they go Elbows deep. You feel like a hand puppet
BMW's are a nightmare to own in the long run. I would never buy one. they are shit!
I think that change of BMW free hardware is good. You can hack that and use it for free.
just buy an mercedes w201 w123 w124 w126 diesel
BMW looks like an ordinary car so why is so expensive
Its only apply to stupid people who buy this Brand. I will always stick to Toyota, Honda and Mazda.
This only affects the purchase in some countries.
The newer ' biodegradable' BMW Plastics are absolute crap..So many cheap seals that harden up and fail..not good when BMWs have water-cooler alternators..
Never buy a new BMW ,lease it.
They're money pits once out of warranty.
Let the OBD hacks begin.
That is why i own lexus. I love the look of BM’ers but for me its window shopping only
Sad. From 1987-2016 we had 8 Bimmers. We didn’t have too many problems during all that time, but we switched to Lexus in 2016, as we were hearing more and more about BMW overall quality getting worse. And now they are milking everyone? No thanks. We won’t go back.
