Good work. I missed why it says RS6 on the cluster of an S7?
Bush mechanics bodged up work makes for great fault finding and repair content.
Master tech Louis to the rescue
one question why does the car clock say rs6 if the car is s7
great work ✌
Acho que exist mecanicos africanos na inglaterra tambem😂que fazem coisas de maneras dels..bom trabalho irmao luis
Morretti, the best lubricant when working on brakes!. Love the vids Louis, thanks. Steve.
Nice work Luis!
You can save yourself loads of stripdown work if you use a tone and probe kit for finding opens and high resistances.
CPC do one for about £36 (IN05683)
I use mine many times a week.
If your tests show the wire is open, apply the signal generator at one end and ground the other.
You will get a step change in signal at the fault point.
If you don't ground the other end of the wire though, the signal will go through the green crusties to the other end and you'll never find the fault.
Did a similar repair on an Octavia, that wired straight into the ABS module too.
Additionally that had a third tail for the ride height sensor for the headlamp levelling, which had also failed.
That front loom fails in every VAG from time to time. It's like with the door latches. They never had that properly sorted and fails for decades now. Personally I think that VAG looms are the worst kind along with Ford. BMW wiring at the top for me.
Very well explained
😲 Great repair on this high-end luxury car 😲 You're the man 👍
Cool fix chap well dune 👍
Great work as always, I wonder why it says RS6 in the middle of the cluster on start up?
Proper job
awesome job well done , great video !!!!
Thank you for your videos excellent works please keep theses great videos coming much appreciated
In my experience some 70% of faults on cars are the result of bodges from other 'mechanics'. There's a big lack of people like you who understand electronics.
Well said brother, this is where the problem comes in ECM
Those wire breaks are always a pain! I admire your dedication to do things correctly, many would be tempted to take shortcuts…as you found out….. Again a great job! Congrats!
Nice one 🙂 Crap from factory combined with crap of work from another mechanic… (btw, why is it showing RS6 on the screen in the cluster and S7 on the speedo? Looks like the crap coding mechanic although was on duty 🙂
Another great video. Well done
Nicely done Luis and great camera work!!
I've been in the car trade for 38years I see shit like this all the time people own
