It seems like a very narrow cam belt on them. That might be why they strip the teeth.

Good work. It almost seems the manufacturers expect the belts to strip. Pressed cams do protect engines, but water pumps shouldn't seize ( they didn't in my experience in the past 40 years). Geared drive for cams is much better but the manufacturers don't want to know.
