Chevy Bolt EUV knockoff
What is this garbage if i wanted a cheap ev could have gotten a Leaf
Cool car!😍😍😍
U.S. citizen here. This is a great affordable EV! Good styling and clean lines .. love the airplane shifter . Door handles are very retro and I grew up in the 70’s so reminds me of the portable 8-track speaker . Fun! I’ve got a 2017 VW egolf and it’s getting old charging the 125 miles that runs out all the time . Freeway miles are only about 88 mi. Good German styling but too small and not enough passenger room . Bumpy ride as well . Just put a $200 deposit on the Vinfast VF8 eco version. But it won’t be ready for at least 1 year . Even then , I don’t know how it rides (no test rides till fall 2020) . Designed by piniferina (Italian car maker ) . Sat inside the car and the room was ample .the styling was great . The features excellent.. warranty 10 yr 100,000 miles. But the battery subscription cost has me worried ..
$44,000 is not a cheap car! When all this started there was talks of sub-$25,000 dollar vehicles on average and so far it hasnt happened. We all fully understand you want to give screens, power everything, wifi, and the ability to watch movies or play playstation inside your vehicle. My point is, only some people care for that in a vehicle. Give us a cheap option that doesnt forfeit tech for the powertrain but doesnt have all the extra crap. Give us simple gauge cluster and not a huge screen, give me mechanical windows, give us 2wd, 150hp/250lbs torque, and give us a vehicle that functions without need for soft/firmware flying around in clouds ready to ruin our day. The average person doesnt need 250hp/1000lb torque, most people dont want the screens, they dont want 24inch rims and 2 inch tall tires that break easily and are expensive to replace. Let us get real though EV companies only care to get rich while making middle and upper class a bit richer by reducing their transportation costs. The lower classes deserve that first! The ones that do all the shit and remedial tasks all over the earth. The ones that have to travel 6days a week to survive. The real people need a real answer. Give us a 2door VW hatch and a sedan trunked version that is as reliable as the 80's diesel Jetta, how about honda revives the CRX for a sporty cheap econo-pod for commuters. Where is our EV geo metro/prism. China has cheap EV's and that isnt one!
The car is decent but the warranty is a complete scam. Don't deal with these ripoff car companies
Why is Elliot so dashing?
what about the warrenty servicing requirements at large cost
Sadly, the Atto3 is expensive to service in Australia. EVs require very little servicing, so why are Aussies being ripped off with high servicing fees? Not good enough BYD.
When coming to USA 🇺🇸?
That interior is so ugly thou. Otherwise I’d be quite interested here in Australia.
You really need to fix the warranty misinformation in that video … it's no longer 7 years in Australia – for some parts is as bad as 6 months!!!
Elliot, have you investigated the work conditions and the pollution associated with the factories and waste disposal involved in the production of those cars in China?
Quite an array of buttons on this no frills object. Nothing like taking your eyes off the road to find the right button in a vehicle that needs your constant attention. Just like a normal car.
Renault's Dacia brand should be doing this, or at least very close, not China!
Frankly, I dont like the interior at all, it's awful
It’s look like copy of VW ID4
If it wasnt for the size of the car, 1875CM at its widest, its too fat for my carpark space in my apartment complex. The price in my country, even for the top specked one is cheap.
Did I miss the price ??????
It not a bad looking car. I think however that the MG4 is nicer looking on the outside but the BYD has the nicer dash and interior minus the steering wheel. If the MG came with that dash and interior with the MG steering wheel it would be perfect.
The interior is so ugly. The price is good. In my opinion I would rather pay a little extra and buy a KIA
Good review Elliot – Will be nice to see BYD setup properly in the UK, its a regular looking car so would do well here
ATTO 3 equals to "YUAN Dynasty" in China, It is the dynasty of Mongol.
China appears to have impressive urban infrastructure. Not to mention impressive EV's.
And it’s a huge factor larger too, in case that had escaped Roberts attention. If you live in a city like Sydney, you can easily travel 90 minutes each way, from home to work. Charge and distance is a big issue amongst Australian buyers. Oh, and the government we just rid ourselves of, had no interest in anything that wasn’t traditional technology, the new one is much more responsive.
I've been saying this since my 1st BEV which was a 2004 Citroen Berlingo Electrique.
Cut out blistering acceleration, infotainment screens, adaptive cruise control & lane assist, electric tailgates, pretty much all things automatic. Integrate smart phones and/or tablets for navigation and things like finding EV chargers. Bring back flicky rear view mirrors and all things basic.
It'll be interesting to see how popular this product becomes in Australia – given the current political climate with China
The new government here in Australia is already changing the outlook for EV ownership with money for charging infrastructure and import tax breaks for EVs
Hey, would love if you could review electric cars from GUANGQI
a flop! the price is too dear for what you called it a basic car!
Thanks again for this informative video 📹
Tesla owner tries byd and this is what he had to say… "It sucks." and just shrugged.
Does it carry a spare wheel, why don't you people never mention the practical things
Actually, i think the physical buttons such as volume, etc. are for the front passenger, as the steering wheels have these controls too, and its not good for the driver to take his hands off the steering to use those buttons. Also, the model Elliot reviewed is possibly the more basic model, that’s why he feels its no frills. The higher end model has electronic buttons to open and close the boot, and lots of high tech features too. Apple /Google Car play also will be added in OTA update in October.
How much does Atto3 BYD EV cost in China ?
Do Not Support Chinese products. Also time to ABOLISH H O C H I B I D E N.
45k in Oz … still impractical for a daily drive.
This was just launched in Thailand. Can place the order and test drive from Nov 1. A little more expensive than the MG ZS EV. But that one has a huge waiting time as well. 10KWh bigger. Even now they come out of china. They will setup a factory in Thailand. Will check it out on Nov 1.
BYD ATTO 3 just awarded NCAP 5 STAR Ratings:
Adult Occupant: 91%
Child Occupant: 89%
Vulnerable Road Users: 69%
Safety Assist: 74%
I have a strange question. I was initially looking at the MG ZS EV but there is a very long waiting list for this (I live in Thailand and here nobody knows how long you have to wait). In addition, the MG is permanently connected to the internet and so far I can't figure out if this can be disabled.
My question is is the Atto 3 permanently connected to the internet? And how? By eSIM or Wifi? and can this be disabled?
Does this car have an appcontrolled heater for us that lives in cold contries?
I'll take it!
Why have all the mainstream European manufacturers lost sight of the fact that cars don't need a ton of tech that almost everyone will never use regularly, But they do need to be affordable? I looked at new Citroen EV today which had a price tag more than I paid for my house.
