Hope you and your dad enjoyed a few beers after this ? Me and my boys always have a de-brief and a few beers after a big day in the workshop
It's cool your so motivated about cars, cars in Iowa!! Go Cyclones!!!! But do you think it would have been the right thing to do and clean engine and trans, and engine bay?!!?
G'day mate how are ya Ryano just caught up on all your latest episodes ..awesome work buddy all the best mate good luck 👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺
I have to agree with everting @David Santos had to say. Still happy you and your Father are rescuing these old gals.
Nice work Ryan and your dad! Are you going to add a '59 El Camino to your collection any time soon? You need a new work truck for your shop!
Some nice projects there, all the best to you all
Real nice! 283/2spd can’t be beat. 59 in this color is my fav. Can never have too many 59s
Cut n buff after you get that one running. Very cool car!
Congrats you put that thing in a lot more complete than I ever would. Leaving would cut the radiator support there that bar going to cross the top. You put it in with the fan included. You may consider a load leveling bar between your engine hoist and the engine. Maybe not because you too may work without it anyway. So which one of your Batman which one you're robbing? Working on the batmobile. Oh even back mobile bill and they weren't that well liked. But I like them.. good thing somebody hang on to that car for 40 to 45 years so you can come along and buy it! Which said in your last video has some truth to it hang on to him and pass away and people left behind just crush them out. Instead that fellows widow could look at as a piggy bank and sold them/part them especially through somebody who's interested and helping them out. The auction idea was a great one. Thanks for the video good to see you and your father work together and create a memory that will last both of your lifetimes and beyond. The beat goes on. The heartbeat of Chevrolet from the old commercial
Speaking of Mortske maybe you should take your next swap up to his place. Use that new lift for some premium under chassis shots.
Good deal bud, good deal! Daggone good to see another somebody trying to put those old rigs back on the road, awesome 👍! I bet ol Waylon would like that too! And probably Mr Hevyshevy too!
Good one guys. 😎👍😎
I'm pretty sure you're going to have to change the driver side exhaust manifold. I believe it should be a straight down rams horn. The one on the motor angles toward the rear of the car. Can't wait to see more videos on this project. Best of luck!!!!
do you have a set of 59 Chevy rims that’ll fit the hubcaps for sale
When will the new shop be completed?
A fun video on engine installs, I love this kind of stuff! You are definitely progressing on your car finds and flips. Thanks for the great videos!
You’ve got quite the collection 0f 59s.
Another cool video for two reasons…have loved that '59 front end ever since my Dad built that El Camino in the backyard AND you did it with your Dad. Cherish the time you have with him. I miss mine every day. Keep up the great videos!
Love that pink 59.
I would have at least power washing the empty engine bay
My first car in 1967 was a 1959 two door hardtop, white with a red interior, 348 (the garage I purchased it from said they had replaced the 348 with a 409) with 3 deuces and a TurboGlide transmission. Instead of having L for low gear it had G for grades. It got about 3 to 6 MPG. You are bringing back a lot of memories for me as I have lost my Pop, my first wife, and the car. You are a blessed young man. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos!
Awesome to see this one get some love, my favorite of your Impalas. Keep it up!
Come on Ryan, don’t need to paint it, but a good wash before would be nice

If you bend the distributor putting in the engine you won't know until the rub block on the points melts. The aluminum ones bend easier than the iron ones.
Great to have your dad's help. Makes it all the more rewarding. Love the Simpson College T-shirt.
The 59 will be a nice ride good luck getting it running Ryan.
Is it for sale
Iowa!
You should ad in your videos
some pressure washing .
Seems to be working for
two other popular YouTubers .
May get you some more views .
Just saying.
Great to see you and your Dad
working together on this one.
Makes me think about all the
project's my Dad and I worked
on together. He passed away
May 19th /22 st. 4 cancer.
Thanks for sharing Ryan !
Just to say i enjoyed your vid.
It,s nice to be able to work outdoors on a day like that.
Thanks and thumbs up.
Enjoy your channel, and i know we all learn from experience, if you had the chain hooked up correctly to the manifold ,and possibly took the dist cap off,you would have had a much better angle to install that motor and trans , try not to give dad a heat attack, and dont worry about your shorts….. thank god it wasnt a big block !
Personally, I think the 1960 model had a cleaner look, but I like the 1959 tail lights.
I think you got the 59 fever! I love it
Hi, I would of power washed that engine/Trans first before dropping it in , unless you wanted to keep that patina look on it ?
Love old Chevy Impalas. Great restoration
If Kevin was there the motor/transmission would already be installed. Lol, sorry Ryan.
i like the lucerne, especially if it has the bench seat.
is that the orignal powerglide, or is that a turbohdramatic?
I differ. I'm Glad you're doing what you want to, in restoring another '59 piece of Chevrolet History, and what a Blessing to have Dad's help! But even a '66 283, IS just a lowly 283! You could use after-market Fuel-injection, –get maybe 250+ Hp and use a turbo 400 and never have to "fool" with the trans except for fluid/filter changes. It could "drive" in a manner towards the Corvettes that used to have 283s, but not drink as much fuel [–it'd be More FUN for YOU ]. Everyone does it, but an LS would give you "More" of Everything, if you went that way. And if you swapped a manual [–4/5-spd ] in, such'd would be a "theft deterent" while allowing you to "shift for yourself", which, over time, becomes "Automatic." Anyway, 'best of Luck,–follow your dream.
Is that the original blue interior?? Sounds like a wild combo: Cameo Coral with blue interior. Would love to see how that looked when new. I bet it looked pretty cool.
Hey love your videos! Someone actually told me you can possibly help me find a 1959 Chevrolet Impala Sedan project?
Car for sale?
