You should get a lucid Air. it will be a good addition to your channel 👌
The lucid is pretty ugly in person if u ask me. I was never a Tesla fan but I would choose the Tesla, back end of the lucid looks very Lincoln
Lucid looks thick and solid like a beast that would eat a Tesla 😆 still both out of my price range…oh well
Lmfao is this a joke? Gtfo
EFF that Tesla, I’m going Lucid all the way👍🏽
Face it, the vast majority of Tesla Plaid buyers get them for one thing….they are the fastest cars on the planet (a caveat here that I should mention is other European cars that come fairly close to the Plaids performance usually cost at least double the Plaids base price, and the Rimac Nevera, which is about a half second faster than a Plaid, last week was certified legal for all countries safety requirements, will only have 150 models made and costs $2,400,000 before options!) that you can buy from a manufacturer that you don't have to spend an additional $20-$30K to modify them to still be slower than a S Plaid. AND for you folks that agree and have interest in speed rather than how far we can go on a charge, or how much your Teslas will be worth 3 years from now, or the minor fit and finish issues that are always mentioned by Tesla haters, and are usually taken care by Tesla when mentioned when you buy this Model, this will be right up your alley! The TOP LINE Lucid Air offers 1,111HP, while the Plaid offers a supposedly 1,020HP, BUT there is a YouTube video that has a Plaid on a 4 hub dyno that develops 1,101HP STOCK from the factory. The Plaid also weighs approximately 400 pounds LESS than the Lucid Air, and averages between $20,000 to $30,000 Less than the advertised $179,900 than the Lucid costs DEPENDING ON OPTIONS CHOSEN for each car.
Last month a Tesla Model S Plaid in Napierville, Quebec set the new record for the fastest quarter-mile time for the electric sedan at 8.83 seconds and 161mph.
The Model S had a stripped out interior for weight savings, as well as SV104 wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson drag radials at the rear and Michelin PS4 tires on the front.
Not content with the blistering fast time, the same Model S Plaid has set a new record this week. At the same track in Napierville the Model S crossed the line in just 8.77 seconds at 162.55mph (261.60km/h), a 5.67 second 1/8 mile time and an outstanding 125MPH to 162MPH time in 3.1 seconds!!!
As for what changed that allowed the car to go faster this time the owner, TMC user mulot30th, said there was an additional 60lb weight saving over the previous attempt due to someone else being behind the wheel on the run.
Additionally he said there a slight change to the suspension.
“Main change is suspension geometry change (slight) which reduce “tire drag” a little bit at least that is what I intended to do with that and have worked,” he said.
Interestingly, the top speed at the end of his quarter mile run of 162.55mph is inches away from the electronically limited top speed (when not in Track Mode) of 163mph.
As first told earlier this week, Quebec-based Ingenext was able to hack their way past that limiter and reached a top speed of 216mph (347km/h).
As for this Model S Plaid, the owner says that while the car does not feel like it is slowing down when crossing the line, he feels there is not much room to improve beyond 8.77s with the current setup, but a BIG brake option available from Tesla and several other Tesla specific after market parts dealers at a much reduced price, and TOP OF THE LINE HIGH SPEED RATED STREET TIRES should also be used!
You can check out the record runs both of TOP SPEED and FASTEST QUARTER MILE time on several Youtube channels!
Lucid all day long. Tesla has some real reliability issues. We will see how the reliability is for the lucid but based on looks and the reviews I have seen, give me the lucid. Great job Ben.
Hmm, I thought I posted must have hit Cancel instead. I just put my order in for the Plaid. I agree the Lucid looks like it is better in quality, but I prefer the more sportier look of the Plaid. The Lucid Performance is also way more expensive. I can add the $20K carbon brakes and $12K self-driving option to the Plaid and still be significantly under the cost of the Lucid Performance. I didn't see on the Lucid website that the self-driving capability is even offered. I know self-driving is a work in progress, but I would like that option available to me when it does get there.
I love This #Tesla Channel
I want a Lucid Air. It looks nice and more luxurious. Model S is just kinda Outdated. It was launched more than 10 years ago.
In my opinion, the tesla and lucid interior and exterior build quality are both lacking for the price range and the material quality in each car seemed to be fairly similar. In terms of the exterior styling and such, I definitely prefer the model s as the sporty look is much cooler looking than the toned down lucid styling. Overall, the model s is better in my opinion because of the major software advantage, the supercharger network, the price, and the fact that the model s has been around for much longer than the air, which gives Tesla more time to perfect the car. I also think that the plaid is much more practical with the hatchback design.
I will buy Lucid instead of Tesla.
LET'S GO! LUCID 🥳🎉🎉🎉💎💎💎
Lucid Air is the best EV out there.
Tesla plaid is the fastest EV production car. But speed isn’t everything, Lucid is no slouch with 2.5 0-60 times. Tesla looks dated while the lucid looks fresh and smooth. Lucid for the win.
I have the Lucid Air Touring reserved. I currently drive a 2022 Model X LR. I’ve test driven the Lucid Air GT and in my opinion it’s a superior car to Tesla. Can’t wait for my Lucid. My spouse wants the Model X so we will just have both. Don’t get me wrong, the Tesla is incredible but the Lucid is better.
Here is a free tip for your wanna be appraisal.
You need to stop being so transparent with your personal preferences, it takes away all your credibility’s on a topic.
I could provide you with at least 4 area’s in this video by the 7:33 time-mark where you blatantly try to insert your personal preference into this review, but I decided that I have wasted 7:33 minutes of my time to this point, and choose not to continue wasting a moment more on any of your bias videos.
I chose a Lucid Grand Touring. No regrets.
Lucid has a long way to go before it can lick Tesla's boots, I mean as a business. I'm not saying Lucid Air or whatever is better than Model S Plaid, but being a bit faster or efficient means diddly squat in accelerating the world to sustainable energy.
I’m a Plaid owner. Do I think the Lucid Air is a better car in some aspects? Absolutely yes. Do I think the Plaid is a better car in some aspects? Absolutely yes. Picked the Plaid for the aspects I found more important to me. The Lucid brand is trying to be the serious, down to earth luxury brand BEV. Stodgy yet chic. That’s just not my brand. I would like banana sandwich dumb and fun with my kid in the back.
I'm rooting for lucid but it's not looking good for them right now. Lucid is making a better looking and luxurious car
Looks like Lucid fanbois came out in numbers here…
The lady who is sitting on the chair is very beautiful 😉. Great video!
Who believes Lucid is better looking?🤣🤣🤣it looks like Lincoln sedan
I ordered Lucid touring trim over model s LR on April.
