I’m not a hardcore mopar guy…but I love Mark and his crew and the show. Some guys like Mark and friends just naturally get in front of a camera and blossom…love it. And the hellephant in a 58 Plymouth?…all kindsa badass!…
Great video….really shitty music becomes so irritating…….
The fury of a fury. Chicken wire to hold the 20 pound of Bondo on quarter panels like my buddies pontiac back in the day. Chicken wire is great for professional bodywork.
on a quiet night in the country you can hear a mopar rust
I think Chrysler products rusted out more that gm or ford i mean a mopar started to rust out a five years old wtf
It is my understanding that the book has Christine as a 57 Fury, but in real life the red and white two tone was not available until 1958 and that it was also only offered on the Belvedere and not the Fury. If I am not mistaken the original Christine (the 57 Fury) used for the up close shots was a peach color and was painted two tone. ( I am aware multiple Plymouths were used to film but the main character up close car is the one I am referring to.)
Friendship with the world makes you the enemy of God repent or perish
why did you do all that work on the car when you could have just stood in front of her and said "ok, show me".
This gives us a special appreciation for the men that designed and built the cars when they were new.
A special appreciation and applauds to you guys for saving another piece of history.
These guys are true artists beautiful job on a classic car , thanks for keeping these and others alive ..
seems nobody likes my car these days – Arnie Cunningham
This was a great video, I can’t watch the syndicated motortrend series with all the stupid crap they use as filler.
My all time favorite movie as well, Mark. You did it justice.
I’ve got a model Christine signed by Stephen king. It’s my pride and joy. I’m going to paint a Christine at some point. The most beautiful car ever made. Not just a car but a work of art
Is that Cuntingham's car!
How much for a clone? I'm serious
Gorgeous car.
I personally would keep it stock though.
They didn't dress up Savoy's and Belvedere's to look like a Fury. A Fury is ALWAYS creme with gold accents. So actually it would be the other way around: if they used Fury's then those would be dressed to look like Belvedere's or Savoy's
The correct color for that car is toriodor red. There is actually real gold that makes that paint so bright. The only company to last make it was Ditzzler in the 1980's. Christine was painted in the correct toriodor red for the film. I know this because I tracked down that paint to shoot my own car. I found the paint color and number in a old Plymouth paint book from 57 to 59. Helps to know old guys, there was no Google search then, just old timers that horded every scrap of information on cars.
Will Scott is one hell of a painter
OMG. Geez I swore I would never do that in a text, hell I've turned into 21st century child uuurrrggghh. There is a reason for this though and that is I am absolutely mad about Christine. I can recite the film word for word(which pisses other viewers of the film). I have read the book countless times and I have even tried to get one imported to England from America but shipping it over here was way above my budget.
I have a question not that anyone ever paid attention or noticed but what kind of car was that white little two-door at the far end of Darnell's garage when Christine based off against that bulldozer……
Hh
That heat-shrinking trick with the gas torch is pretty neat!
Graveyard shift t-shirt
I want my own show
Stephen King's graveyard shift t-shirt
Humpty Dumpty
Thank you for using a single stage paint!
Good attitude.. Screw them all.. I know the drama is just that. Do I need, no. I think it dumbs the show down. But the average person has no clue to what it takes to accomplish what you do. In the end. Always a GREAT JOB…
Damn good I really enjoyed this build from end to end perfect and I love Christine u guy's are so cool respect from 🇬🇧👍
Are you sure that's not Christine's twin or Christine's clone at all of what so ever,OK show me!
Finally, someone else who seeing the value of Panel Bond. That stuff is wonderful to use in restoration work.
I would have gone with a movie correct engine.
Another great video. I love the work that you guys do. Thankyou.
MARCK IS AWESOME !!ONE OF THE MOST COMPLETE RESTORATION GURU'S OF ALL TIME!!!!! ALONG WITH YOUR CREW AND FAMILY !!!! ALWAYS AWESOME MARK!¡! AND IM A CHEVY GUY !?? LOL
I heard some movie facts about the car. For example, the Fury or Belvedere horn didn't sound like that, they used sounds from other cars. They didn't use the sounds from the original engine, they ended up using different sounds for the engine. Not sure how true some of these facts are. I would like to know more facts about how they made the cars for the movie. Love the Christine movie.
I've got a question for you. Has anyone ever thought about a sequel to the movie "CHRISTINE." Well I started to write a movie theme and I called it "CHRISTOPHER, THE REVENGE OF CHRISTINE." It's a BLACK DODGE CHARGER WITH TWO RED STRIPES. It's a sequel where this CHRISTOPHER goes on a quest to find the people who killed his sister CHRISTINE. Then CHRISTOPHER goes on a killing spree to get revenge. The only thing is CHRISTINE was a 1958 Plymouth Fury and CHRISTOPHER is a 1978 DODGE CHARGER. The way the movie would start out is in factory where CHRISTOPHER is being built, as workers are putting CHRISTOPHER together they start talking about this car that that went on a killing spree 20 years ago and the cars name was "CHRISTINE." As they are talking about CHRISTINE, CHRISTOPHER hears the whole story and it makes him mad. Once the workers get done they drive the car to the parking lot. As the guy is trying to get out of the car, the headlights on the car move like it's looking right at the guy then the car kills the guy by trapping him between the car door and dragging him through the parking lot. Once the guy is dead CHRISTOPHER goes back to his parking space. That's about as far as I got with my story. I would like to finish it but right now I don't have much time. I'm thinking about working on it in the Winter. I would like to know what you think about that. Would you mind letting me know if I should go on with it or not. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you. By the way I forgot to mention that I was born on September 7, 1958.
whatever it is, it's not enough
I think they called him Cunntingham, FYI.
All they had to do was fix the radio. The rest would have taken care of itself.
