What I see in this video is a massive amounts of waste. I thought EV were all about saving the planet? Why do we need an EV that can put up 9's if the whole point of EV's is sustainability?
I wonder how much less of a battery a Tesla would need, how much less it would cost and how much less environmental damage it would create to do just what it's supposed to do…..transport people from point A to point B and not put up 9's at the speedway. Battery manufacturing is very toxic and requires massive amounts of mining to make them so why not just make them big enough and powerful enough to do just the basic driving?

For some reason it doesn’t seem right racing electric cars against gas powered cars. They should be in a separate class unless they should race against NHRA guys? Better yet once nuclear fuel rods are introduced into a vehicle cutting the times in half they then could go up against the electric cars making them look silly. Just a thought.
